“Free eggs,” they said. “It’ll be great,” they said.

I have a whole rotation of customers who buy eggs by the armfuls. I myself have cakes-on-commission hobby using the duck exclusively. But I still CANNOT keep up with production. As for wintertime: my ducks and heritage chickens still offer up about a dozen eggs per week between the two flocks, so as a household we’re never short!

Comment to add: all the pictured duck eggs are from two days. All the chicken eggs are from three days.

Get another oven and some hired help! Get that bakery started

I feel your pain, I don’t know what to do with all these extras that doesn’t involve driving around for an hour and hand delivering (which I’m not going to do). I already give them away to my closest neighbors and you can only eat so many.

I have scrambled older eggs and given them to my chickens before. What other animals can supplement their diet with eggs?

The amount of eggs i eat from my chickens could feed a nation. I believe i have become part egg

Make spanish tortilla and freeze it. Great with wild onions, garlic, leeks, or spinach.

  6. We simply give our excess eggs back to the birds! Along with the shells of those we do eat

    Quiche freezes rather well.

Perhaps you should go into the egg pie business.

I dehydrated and ground like 70 eggs, and they fit into a single quart Mason jar.

    Shelf stable.

    Good emergency food.

1 spoon full equals 1 egg

    Picked eggs make great gifts

Any food pantries in your area that will take farm fresh eggs? I know it varies state by state, but might be worth a check!

Alternatively, glassing them might be a good option for when production inevitably slows down.

I’m currently going through morning sickness and eggs are a major trigger for me. Good thing I have a steady supply of eggs from my chickens and ducks…

How many birds do you have and what breeds? Also, how many would need to be cut to give you just enough production for your needs?

It is great, you can always sell them, many people dream of being in your position
