  1. Awe look at The King with you listening to everything you say . That's the boss . I know without a doubt you will have plenty of food

  2. One tip for cedar or redwood raised bed material is that Home Depot has a section of warped wood that is heavily discounted. We built a massive 11’ x 25’ X 3’ tall redwood raised bed where boards were barely warped for less than $100. Totally worth it! We have a mixture of extra tall Vego beds and the redwood bed and it looks great:) My next goal is to add the netted cover that James has on his website for my Vego beds:)

  3. I just built my 6th Vego bed and I had the Idea, here in SW FL it’s very humid, so after building the bed I sprayed all the screws/nuts with Clear Rustoleum spray, hoping it will get them rust free for a while🥰

  4. Built mine from discarded metal roofing sheets from a skip. Sanded off any rust plus some zinc paint. Lined with foam sheet from discarded fruit boxes plus old plastic film.
Basically free, 12 years ago and no sign of deterioration yet – still going strong.

  6. Your excitement is contagious James. Thank you for the great video. We have a freeze coming tonight in MA so I’ve got everything covered. I hope they live. ❤for Tuck.

  7. Okay more experienced gardeners I have a question.
I have a pretty rusted galvanized stock feeder I was hoping to garden in this year however he mentioned rust being an issue in the garden.. should I not be using this to grow veggies in this year? Please help!!

  8. My favorite raised beds in farming country — animal feeders and waterers. Expensive when new, but sometimes you can find used ones. Last almost forever!

  9. The cedar will keep the cabbage moths away. I have it as mulch in my walk paths so the moths are not an issue for me anymore.

  10. I love all raised beds because I garden in a wheelchair. Your channel has always offered such great information and ideas. Love Tuck ❤❤❤❤

  11. I made my beds from old cedar fence panels.
I’m really feeling depressed about the coming season as we’ve had non-stop rain and I haven’t been able to work on the garden. We still have frost warnings and I don’t even feel good about starting any seeds.
    I hate election years.

  12. great videos..have learned a lot. One question though, how do I keep stray cats out of my yard and raised beds?
