Succulent Plants

I won a jade plant and I’m stressing πŸ˜…

I won this at plant bingo. I’m just praying I don’t kill it. Any advice would be great!

They need a lot of sun, or a strong grow light to stay healthy, and compact with strong stems.

They’re fine outdoors in the sun, once acclimated, but they must be protected from freezing temperatures. If you’re in a hot climate, it may need some shade for the hottest part of the day.

Lucky you – it’s a beaut. The main mistake people make when it comes to jades is over-watering, so don’t let that dirt get soggy.

I was worried when my husband came home with a jade as I am not used to succulents. But it’s very easy actually. Place it in a sunny spot and water very occasionally. I water mine about once a month and quite small quantities too. I give it rain water or water from the dehumidifier as it’s free of minerals and chemicals.

Beautiful plant! Plant bingo would be so fun! I’m catholic, and am going to have to suggest that as a fundraiser for our church. We catholics love our bingo!

Use a knitting needle or a kabob stick, stick it in the soil and if it comes out with dirt on it don’t water. Water when it’s clean. Then drench the soil and repeat πŸ™‚

  7. Woah that’s huge for a potted jade. Probably at least 7 years old?

Honestly I suggest you leave it alone. Don’t touch it until the dirt is bone dry. It’ll do just fine then
