Recent trip to Boston and saw these beauties. What are they?
My husband and I took a recent trip to Boston and spotted these while walking through a park. Can someone please identify for me? I’d love some in my garden (7a) if possible.
Hellebore! Screw daffodils, these are the best spring flower.

I’m not sure if it’s just a common name for a hellebore or a specific type of hellebore, but I’ve also seen them called Lenten Roses

Hellebore, specifically with the leaves cut back which some gardeners do to emphasise the flowers (and some say it reduces disease risk).

I plan to try and plant some of these in a partial shaded area I have. I’ve heard they don’t mind some shade . They give me moody gothic vibes kind of and I love that lol

It’s pretty toxic, watch children, livestock & pets. Toxicity is similar to foxglove.

I love hellebores! They are expensive but also take many years to mature from seed.

Hellebores! These look like the ice ‘n rose variety. I have these in my own garden, they’re the first blooms I get in the season

Very mature/well established hellebores. Long blooming evergreen plants that love that spot.
