Iam a beginner, do I trim the roots, plant them that deep, or leave roots above ground. The ones i bought last year from a market were no where near this long. I didn't want to wait for my market to open so I bought seed bags from Tactor supply and this is what I got.

They will be fine, don’t trim anything, just plant them so the pale sprouts are below the ground, at the normal depth you were going to plant them. Potatoes are really easy and will grow in almost any conditions.

Those are roots, not leaf stems…just put them unter about 8 inch deep in soil, water it good and wait
