Potentially dumped duck, can someone confirm if it’s a domestic breed?

Found this duck next to the road, it’s very friendly and doesn’t look like a native breed (Cambridge, UK). Could someone help identify it? I assume it was dumped by the duck pond across the road and got chased away by it’s wild brethren. Not a duck person and there’s no wildlife rescue to call but I guess if it is a domestic duck I’ll call a local vet and see what they can do about it. (I’m not from here I can’t keep the duck)

Want to add it quacks cutely and wags it’s tail around when approached, this is definitely a duck that is used to humans and seeks human contact. The other pond ducks do get fed but they are wary of humans. This one walked straight up. I considered it may have a traumatic head injury that’s causing the behaviour but according to my bf it’s been there for almost a week now and it seems quite healthy and alert.

The coloring reminds me of a [Golden Cascade](https://animal-world.com/golden-cascade-duck/), especially the green beak. In most pictures they’re a bit more brown/gold in color and they usually have a bit of orange/gold on their head, but to be fair, I’ve seen whiter ones like that for sale before.

But keep in mind I’m not familiar with non-domesticated duck breeds/species outside the US. So this is assuming it’s a domesticated duck. And even then, I’m far from an expert anyways. But based on what you said, I think there’s a good chance it might be a domesticated duck of some kind.

If it is, they’re meant for egg production mostly, and they are known for being quite friendly.

EDIT: [Found an example](https://baugh-ok.americanlisted.com/pets-animals/golden-cascade-ducks_24069655.html) of some whiter/less golden-colored ones. Their color can vary a lot compared to some other breeds.
