


It's been years since I found these in Connecticut, and not for a lack of searching under stones, rotting logs, and leaf litter on forest floors.
P.s. please disregard the white spots (grain mites and springtails) and everything else on the glass. This experiment has been running since 08/19/2019 and when nature takes over it can look…gross. The salamanders settled right in though.

There’s also a healthy nightcrawler population in the tank. The salamanders like bullying them out of their tunnels. Damn squatters. 😁
