In my Virtual Chelsea video article live today on @the_rhs website (link in bio) I demonstrate how to plant an urban front garden using organically grown perennials and grasses, which would have been used for the @yeovalley Organic Show Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show. I talk about organic principles and how small changes to the way we garden can make a big difference to wildlife, pollinators and insects. By planting flowering perennials and grasses in urban areas we can create wildlife corridors and food for bees and other insects. I demonstrates how naturalistic planting can work in a small urban garden, even if you don’t have space for a full blown wildflower meadow. My planting is inspired by the real @YeoValleyOrganicGarden designed and managed by Sarah Mead. In the second half of the video we are transported to Somerset where Sarah provides a snapshot of Yeo Valley’s organic practice and a tour of her stunning organic garden. We hope you enjoy it and get some useful tips and inspiration.
