What is this?

I know it’s some time of cactus, but I’m wondering what else I can do for it, and if it’s trying to climb…the leaves feel firm but floppy

It’s either a Epiphyllum oxypetalum or Epiphyllum phyllantus, both are very similar. It can be planted as a hanging plant, but it also can climb. Here in Brazil they can easily be found growing on trees.

It produces a very big beautiful flower that looks like the dragon fruit one, and only blooms in a single night. It also produces a fruit that tastes like a dragon fruit but it’s way smaller.
