uh YouTube’s telling me something
stupid
okay we are about to start some
seeds I’ve got 200 cells to fill up here
so let’s look and see what we got going
on this
is we’ve got our hin 57 or hin
tomatoes Marcone
Peppers some roma tomatoes that I
saved some purple Shin
eggplants some tomato bush Ace
55s and then some red snapper tomatoes
so we are starting almost all of our
Tomatoes
today all
right so we’re going to do this I’ve
got 200 cells to fill up like I said in
the beginning so we’ll see what we can
do I’m trying to pull up the chat here
so I can see you
guys
okay so I hope everybody’s having a good
day and if at any point you got
something you want to ask or say feel
free to chime in I’m just planting seeds
and didn’t feel like doing it all by
myself and that’s really all there is to
it
so hey b hey Mike how’s it going from
Wisconsin
hey God’s desire for me how are
you NC in the house loving it loving
it hey garders from Missouri hope you
guys guys are doing
well so I don’t know if I don’t know
what was going on when I signed up um
but I’ll show you what I’m grow when I’m
starting today so I’m super super super
excited for the red snapper tomato
that’s something that I’ve been having
my eye on um another one is our Ace
55s I don’t think there’s a lot of seeds
in there that might be kind of
sad we’re going to do purple shine
eggplants some roma tomatoes that I
saved and then some Marone peppers for
my son which are like a sweet snack
pepper and then I mean come on man hind
Tomatoes they taste just like I’m saying
no sugar
added
sideway well that’s not good thank you
is that
better
y’all probably looking at me like I’m an
idiot if I’m
sideways that kind of messes up my whole
game let’s see if that
works how’s
that are we
good let me know let me know so I don’t
keep looking like an idiot in front of
public which is fine I’m used to
it yeah so um again I’ll say this the
live thing is new
and every time I go on I’m on a
different platform so I don’t know what
YouTube wants me to do hey Sam how’s it
going from
Tennessee thank you Stephen I’m glad
y’all don’t have to your head
sideways to look at me so what are you
guys starting in your Gardens anything
good or
anything I got to remember to look up so
I can
see
60° in Michigan that is like a heatwave
man I bet you’re fixing to go
swimming it’s 65 in coastal North
Carolina and cloudy as it can be today
so there is
that so yeah I’ve got trays here each
one of these trays holds 50
starts so this is the big bulk our final
push for a little while for starting
seed which is good um I started some
pepper seeds last week and to be
honest I kind of forgot to water them so
I lost a few but then I also had forgot
to sew some peppers so we’re going to do
some
more well hey
Virginia God’s desire just St peppers
and herbs good
job 31 varieties of
tomatoes that is a lot of tomatoes my
friend broccoli and brussel sprouts
that’s what I’m talking about I’m having
a pretty good Brussels sprout year I do
I know you guys are probably tired of
hearing about it but I don’t care cuz uh
I’ve tried years to grow the Brussels
sprout so it’s it’s been nice to go
ahead and finally get a harvest and
start to narrow down my planning my
planting window for the years um it’s
been a definite uphill battle I can say
at least so um you know but that’s how
it goes you just every year just try
something new figure out something mess
something up have a dud and then you
just restart restart restart so I got a
fair amount of seeds in this pack these
are from
um Southern seed
exchange I don’t know how many seeds
they
got I know the weight .16 G so but it’s
a fair amount of seeds so it’s good I
don’t you know I when I did the peppers
I didn’t get a lot of seeds for them and
uh I had to do a lot of cells with just
one seed in it and I really don’t like
doing that just no margin of error and
that’s kind of what we dealt with but we
still have plenty of peppers
going Manitoba Tomatoes this
year never heard of
those Manitoba is that is that Canadian
cuz didn’t Dale
Gribble smoke Manitoba cigarettes from
Canada and King of the Hill anybody
anybody
ber so yeah then these cells I’m putting
two seeds per
cell
and I believe these are determinant
tomato as
well I do need to double check that
before I go super crazy but I’m going to
plant all of them so I don’t even
care okay so you’ve got two grow
stations what is going on and why do you
have two grow stations ah it was
Canadian
good Stephen that’s a good um that’s a
good goal keep it realistic you know
what I
mean you ain’t supplying a grocery store
you don’t need to have 50
watermelons I remember the first year so
this year I’m growing
um sweet Crimson watermelons in the
first year I grew them I got two
watermelons a 50 pound watermelon and a
25 pound watermelon and I mean I was I
was happy I had never grown a 50 lb I
mean it might as well have been a ton I
mean you might as well call The Guinness
Book of World Records and told him I was
coming through cuz I was happy so um
that’s why we’re growing them again I’d
like to get another 50 lb watermelon but
I’m not going to hold my breath I’m
going to um what I’m going to
do for my water
is I’m going to give them plenty of
space for the roots I think that’s where
I kind of thub barred it last year
so we’re going to do we’re going to try
and give it as many you know as much
root space as
possible so yeah I’m not going to call
these hind Tomatoes anymore I’m going to
call them ketchup tomatoes because
through the
will for through the power of suggestion
they’re going to taste like ketchup so
from now now on they’re ketchup Tomatoes
no longer the other name How You Like Me
Now oh you got you’re doing hydroponic
huh that’s something that I’ve never
really had the desire to get into I’ve
done some with like a
uh like a arrow guard I think the one I
used was a Le pot and that’s about as
hydroponic as I’m willing to get
into funny story when I
was I guess I was about 25 I lived in an
apartment and the guy above me was uh
growing uh weed and he was doing at
Hydroponics and uh the Hydroponics
leaked and leaked through the ceiling
and my man ended up going to jail for it
so um I just you know maybe that’s why
why I don’t do it cuz I just don’t want
to deal with like a potential leak or
something like
that so I got some new tags so we’re
going to tag them like they’re supposed
to but I’m not even all right how do you
spell
catchup k
e cat chup no is it catch up
whatever my garden my rules my English
language
sorry if you don’t like
it so which one do you like better the
Le pot or the arrow
garden and then the next
one I’m going to do these Ace
55s so I wanted to do the ace
55s because I want to grow an heirloom
that’s a determinant which is actually
kind of hard to find so I wanted to make
sure that I found something that I was
able to save some seed from um so we’ll
see how it
goes if the wind blows my seeds over I
might cry right here live on on the
YouTube channel Network on the YouTube
Network
right so everybody What’s um I know
there’s a couple people in here what’s
your last frost dat and are you planting
before your last frost dat cuz I hope if
you’ve been watching this channel for
any amount of time you should be
planning to plant before your flast
Frost State I mean I’m just going to say
it
sorry I’m kind of really big into that
you know if you haven’t figured it
out might even be kind of annoying how
big I am into it but I think it’s
important come on
man come on better than
that yeah the Le pot’s nice cuz you can
lower it pretty far down I actually got
mine for free they gave me they had me
do a little review on it um I grew out
of it for most of the year and then I
backed
off
nice I guess I am goofy aren’t I hi
Rick where um where are you
located like what state are you
in
the words are like this small in my
eyes don’t cry Cynthia don’t
worry yeah the warm weather patterns are
there aren’t
they
yeah I feel for everybody out on the
west coast that’s getting that Pineapple
Express
storm um that’s kind of that’s tough I
know a lot of people out there at least
in what I see are not used to the rain
so I feel for everybody that’s a tough
one
so Shiloh that’s super super super
important um everybody’s focusing right
now on these this warm weather that a
lot of people are getting and that’s
really dangerous
because you got climate and you got
weather and you know your climate but
the weather is what’s real
questionable um it’s
you you got to be real careful like
we’re having warm weather and I mean I
moved my dates up a little bit but I’m
not I’m not I don’t get Brave like that
so scroll down a little
bit you must be close to me in North
Carolina if you’re the 3 of April I’m
right around then
too 70 in Missouri I bet that’s crazy to
you as well
you know I remember when I lived in New
England it would be like 70° one day and
then later on that night it would snow
it was crazy but it never really it
didn’t really freeze and the you
know from what I understand Colorado
especially like the Denver area has like
really weird
weather anytime you get in the mountains
you get like microclimate just Central
so Matthew I’m in coastal North
Carolina I don’t do zones but for the
sake of this because you may be new I’m
in zone 8B but I don’t talk in zones
because it doesn’t affect vegetable
gardening at all it’s a uh it’s a frost
date
game last frost State beginning of
April yeah my cousin lived out in
Greenville it’s kind of crazy out
there I don’t know what the thug Shake
is but if I knew what it was I wouldn’t
do it for you
bro
yeah that’s crazy that’s I mean if it
snows here see this wasn’t the amount of
seeds they said they put in the
package mhm don’t get on my dooo list I
really don’t want to narrow down where I
buy seeds from
anymore I’m going to have to separate
them I really hate doing one seed at a
time in a
cell
I got plenty of weed right in my
garden that ain’t legal here man we
can’t talk about
that stupid that it’s not legal but you
know it is what it is it’s the world we
live
in at least in my state it’s not
legal
um no I got shorted by YouTube’s
favorite company and I say YouTube
because the tentacle interest I just got
shorted so it’s making my job a little
harder I don’t care if you put the
weight on there but if you’re going to
put the number of seeds on there I
expect to see the number of seeds you
know
oh really so I haven’t ordered from
Botanical interest in quite a while
actually so this is the first time in
probably 10 years and it’s obviously
changed hands so um I will remember that
in the future but it kind of had to cuz
I was looking for a specific
seed yeah Greg that’s how it is
here
it sucks but you know what
whatever um you know Greg I have
ordered um well I haven’t ordered but
I’ve got some seed saver exchange seeds
man they’re just really expensive to be
honest they’re it’s it’s too much I I
can’t I can’t pay that price um there’s
a couple places that are
just take it easy guy you know what I
mean it’s just a little too much for
me yeah yeah
Stephen so this seed right here I’m
really really excited about um this is
the red snapper seen a lot of people
grow it in the south um it’s a
determinant and it’s supposed to give
you you know like that tomatoes so I’m
excited for that
um I’m
looking I don’t grow a lot of
indeterminant here because of the
humidity so I just don’t you know um by
the time our determinants give out it
usually gets too hot here and the
humidity kind of kicks in and so we lose
a lot of our growing time so I just Tred
to stick to
determinance um and it just kind of
works that
way and then I also if you guys don’t
know I plant a lot of seeds because I
sell seedlings as well so there’s never
a shortage of plants here to go in my
garden as a matter of fact usually I’ll
have like a handful left over that don’t
sell at the end of the year so I try and
keep you know just keep those put away
um so oh
man
that’s what I’m talking about man with a
smile it’s the first time I’ve ordered
hot
seeds out of four packets it’s the
second time I’ve gotten a marker and
this right here will push me to order
more
seeds uh my favorite
tomato I do Romas yeah I’ve got Romas a
start typically so I’m actually looking
for a new favorite
tomato so um this may be my new favorite
but the only problem is it’s a hybrid so
I really want to save my own seed but I
also want to eat a lot of tomatoes so
it’s kind of you know we got to find a
happy medium
there yeah dude a
tag come on man come
on can I get a shout out to hos I’m just
saying like you put a tag in there and
it’s not the first one I’ve gotten
that’s like
Christmas but I’m actually going to I
have 50 seeds here they were kind of
expensive four five I’m I’m G plant two
rows so I’m going to skip that and I’m
going to go to my
Romas because I don’t want to grow as
many Romas this
year now hold on shil I’m not saying
you’re gonna get a tag in every packet
all right I got them in um the red
snapper
tomato and the green Magic broccoli I
did not get it in the Bobcat
cabbage and I can’t remember what else I
got from them well I haven’t opened all
the other seeds yet so I don’t know but
like I I got some watermelon seeds from
them cuz I was switching varieties and I
don’t expect to get anything from them
so there is
that dude
ethics yeah don’t let’s not get on that
if you don’t
mind what broccoli did you
have
I don’t see I don’t I can’t call you by
your name because I don’t see it I’m
sorry what broccoli did you get um maybe
flower again everything’s that
small yep that’s the green magic me
too yeah I’ve tried indeterminates man
and by the time they start producing for
me which will be rough
L let’s say June or July my determins
have already round wiped um came came
around and started producing and I did a
video last year and I’ll talk about it
again this year but I will call to the
week when we will get disease and we
will start losing our tomatoes so um
just our tomato plants because the
humidity is so bad so we call it to the
weak and um it’s by the time we get it
it’s just too
much
so Shiloh um you guys answer Shiloh’s
question but do you guys know
uh the difference like the growing
difference between an indeterminant and
a determinant
tomato if you don’t then I will tell you
but if you do then I won’t tell
you
I wish tomato seeds smell like
tomatoes oh
boy so when it’s my own seed I’m I’m be
very careful and I plant probably three
per cell just to make sure I did not do
a germination test on them so I’m not
sure
so okay since somebody asked I’ll get
into it the um the terminant tomatoes
what they do is they grow and then they
put on all of their fruit within a small
period of time within maybe like a
couple weeks to a month so it’s perfect
for canning and like getting massive
Harvest and stuff like that but
afterwards they’re done you can I mean
they’ll continue to grow and they’ll put
out a tomato here or there but for the
most part they just they just die off so
um you know they just don’t produce or
they just get really susceptible to
disease and stuff like that so it’s
great for like really quick Harvest you
know you want to do some canning that’s
why a lot of them are canning varieties
because it’s just super
heavy um super heavy production versus
the indeterminant where they will
produce all the way up until you’re
Frost
but then that comes to our climate and
it makes it
difficult semid determinance is kind of
like I don’t know what it is so I’m
going give it something I think that’s
what because every semi determinant I’ve
grown has grown to the height of an
indeterminant but produced like a
determinant so I’m I’m not in the semi
determinant game
anymore yes determinate Tomatoes can use
a tomato cage that’s exactly right if
you put an indeterminate tomato in a
tomato cage it’s a waste of
time
yeah I I bottom trim
my tomatoes for air oh look at there
found a pepper seed in there that my boo
boo um I bottom trim about a foot up and
then I don’t trim my determinant at all
except
I will take suckers from them and then
make a I’ll propagate them so that I can
have more plants for the second planting
if I decide to do
that yeah you would leave the suckers on
there I mean you can trim a couple of
them off but typically you don’t really
want to prune them much at all cuz again
it just it’s more energy more energy and
you want them to Bush out everywhere so
that they
will they will produce as much Tomatoes
as possible because there is no second
chance with a determinant it’s it’s a
oneandone
situation so it’s it really depends like
a lot of people um in more Northern
climates where they don’t get a lot of
humidity in determinants work better for
him but if it was me I would do a
combination of both I would do my
determinant so I get an early Harvest
and then I do my indeterminant so I
could get a continued
Harvest and now we’re going to Top This
tray with
perite or somebody nicely put it the
other day
parite but I like saying
paralite everybody’s always quick to
correct somebody about how they say
something dude Cape Fear just
um work the soil get the nitrogen in it
um and then plant them probably about 2
3 Ines deep and just feed feed
feed now what are you doing you live in
my area and you ain’t buying no tomatoes
from me I mean onions come on man
killing me dog just
playing
uh kick door I’m I’m planting tomatoes
and peppers and eggplants today and I
just finished the tray and I’m topping
off with
perite and that’s
it and then that was Tomatoes we did
three types of tomatoes here and I’m
going to do my fourth type in the next
tray and then mix those with um I think
I’m going to do peppers in that tray
because they grow at a faster pace and
eggplants are like super
slow it’s kind of
annoying I would take y’all out in my
garden but I don’t get service out there
sucks I’d like to do like live Garden
updates and stuff like that but
I haven’t figured that out yet so I
apologize hello scary
Goose nope just parite just
paralite so I’ve done a few videos about
it um you’re more than welcome to check
them out and all I do is I push my
finger in the soil make a little hole
drop the seed in cover it with paralite
that’s
it that is it so that’s 50 seeds
done bye scary
Goose I’m feeling that I finally figured
out after we’ve gotten a couple spammers
how to get rid of people so uh I’m on
top of
it
yeah go ahead Shiloh let’s do
this more the merrier man that’s what
y’all supposed to be doing I come on
here so y’all can plant do whatever you
want I got three more trays
man yep Stephen look at your phone
here’s a
parite pushes right
through
damn
anyways so let’s see here me catch up on
some of these
[Music]
messages
nice so apparently we’ve got the spammer
in
here so what kind of uh potting soil do
you guys use to start with do you guys
make your own stuff or what do you
do I used to make mine but I just found
that it’s easier with the amount that I
start that I just keep
going
what do you use to make your
own
so Stephen I used to do that all the
time and it got really I don’t know
sifting man sifting soils just sucks but
it’s kind of it can be relaxing
too so I’ll show you
guys the process if I can turn this
camera
around so I’m just coming
through just little
divots it’s super weird watching myself
do it through the camera
though yeah that’s gardish that’s how I
started my first compost we didn’t have
chickens at the time and I just wanted a
place to put my
vegetables dude Jillian those those
brussels sprouts are amazing it’s like
it’s like I won the lottery I mean I’m
just going to have to
say have a good one Xander stay out of
trouble now we’re going to do red
snappers so I’m going to do 20
plants that way I’ll have plenty for me
I can put 1 two 3 four five six I can
probably put 10 of them out there so
then I’ll have 10 to
sell uh that’s not
right so we may not have gotten 50 seeds
from hos like it was it says 50 seeds
we’ll
see thank you I’ve tried really hard
over the past couple years to get it
right we just added a load of chicken
manure to our compost the other day and
we’re getting into
I just trimmed a big additive that I
use is
um my lemongrass when my lemongrass is
dead over the winter I cut it and then
that’s a big carbon boost for it uh
Shiloh what time frame do I use to sell
my seedlings I don’t sell seedlings
until it is appropriate to put them in
the ground I am not a big box store and
don’t pray on people so when it is right
to put them in the ground that’s when I
put them up for sale and I may advertise
them about a week earlier to get some
interest but for the most part it’s just
when it’s time for him to go in the
ground that’s when you’ll see them cuz
I’m not in to Tak an
advantage um so 54 Cal it is the
uh anything different is what SS so um
if you can think exotic stuff like that
when I lived up by Cape Cod there was a
gentleman and he sold exotic peppers and
I mean everybody I knew would go up
there and spend $20 a plant with them
hands down cuz he was the only one that
had the peppers so I kind of and since
I’ve been selling plants for the past
three four years
now three or four years I can’t remember
um I’ve seen where that’s what people
want they want the more the different
peppers stuff like that so anything with
a flavor or anything like
that NOP I cold seasoned crops and I’ll
tell you why Cold seasoned crops don’t
sell well because people don’t
understand when they can plant them it’s
just that simple I sell cold season
crops I put them out for sale now I’ve
got a tray of onions that’s actually I
think somebody just kind of might be
paying for as we speak and I’ve got a
tray of cabbages and I will keep those
cabbages I am not lying to you until
after our first frost date and then
people will want to plant them and at
that time it’s too late they’re not
going to they’re not going to
produce Julian they were I don’t even
know what kind of peppers they were it
was crazy like stuff you’d never heard
of ever it was um there was like
scorpion well this was back then too
there was like scorpion peppers there
was uh that was when the Carolina Reaper
first came out people were buying that
um people were buying I I can’t even
remember like this year for example I’m
going Peach flavored lemon flavored
mango flavored peppers and then some
sweet peppers will do good but and then
tomatoes are what people like
too yeah people just I don’t know they
don’t want
them but I think it really does come
down to the fact that people don’t
realize what they can and can’t plant
and that’s really sad because there is a
time of year when you can do it and a
time of year when you you know obviously
you shouldn’t so um and I don’t pray on
people like
[Music]
that
yeah
[Music]
there’s um there’s a thing now with
people um I just lost my thought there
you
go damn what was
it when people don’t you know it’s
nothing to get a Carolina
Reed it’s easy to do but people don’t
want to start them so they are willing
to pay whatever for them it’s kind of
crazy I had somebody the other
day messaged me and I don’t know why and
they said hey do you have any pablano
Peppers pepper seeds and I said no and
they said well if I pay you can I give
you the seed and you grow them for me
and I said no cuz that’s ridiculous so
um I didn’t want to be up held to
somebody to that
extent so it’s kind of
painful but um it’s like just you got to
start somewhere you know you got to
start
somewhere I can tell you what sells
terrible is
kale brussels sprouts
rudas
um
melons and
broccoli those are the worst hey
Kathleen is that Kathleen yeah hey
Kathleen those are the worst sellers
that I’ve ever
had which is funny cuz they’re my
favorite yeah so the only thing root
that I will sell is hey Mary um I’ll
sell for roots I’ve tried to sell rud
ofas and this year hopefully I can do
some sweet potato slips and that’s
really about
it so these are my sun seeds they are
Marcone Peppers he likes to take the hot
peppers to school not the hot peppers
the little red peppers and then bite
them and then people think that they’re
hot and he acts tough when in reality he
can’t take anything hot but I do it for
him cuz he he’ll eat peppers every
single
day
so Amber you can’t really sell um
carrots and parsnips and stuff like that
they don’t transplant well and so part
of I mean this is kind of getting into a
conversation that I hate having but I
don’t I don’t care I’ll have the
conversation with whoever has ears when
you’re selling plants to
people you you’ve got companies like
Bonnie and Bonnie will sell you
anything but when it comes down to
there’s some things that should not be
transplanted and carrots and parsnips
and potatoes and um Beans really
shouldn’t be
transplanted um and so but there’s
companies that will sell them to you and
I just I have the moral obligation to
say I’m not going to sell it but I’ll
show you how to grow it I’ll sell you
the seed but I can’t charge you for
it
yeah yeah that’s uh the the cabbage
plants are ridiculous you know and it
was until last year when inflation
really got bad I mean you could go buy a
sixpack of cabbages for $4 and that was
a good deal um but now it’s one cabbage
plant for six bucks and I’m trying to
sell six cabbage plants for five bucks
and people are like that’s too high and
I’m like I mean that’s what it is you
know I can’t do this stuff for
free you know CMAC I just do what I want
other people like I treat other people
how I want to be treated you know I want
people to not take advantage of me and I
wish it was easier that way you know
it’s just it is what it is but I
appreciate you saying that I really do
means a
lot that’s all right Amber I’m in
coastal North
Carolina where are you at
Amber I’m new to you if you’re new to
me that’s sounded creepy my
bad yes Mary I do sell plants to people
locally I don’t ship them I’ve had
people ask me to ship them I can’t do
that but yeah I do sell starter plants
uh appropriate to the time of year it’s
what we were just talking about so
um you know my goal between the backyard
gardens podcast and this channel is just
to uplift people to be able to grow and
pass on what I know in a you know the
the way I know how to do it which some
people think is kind of Crash because
I’m a pretty straightforward person but
I just I I think it helps people and
that’s what I want to
do you should start a garden
with your three kids not for but
with I just had my son yesterday he
helped me he helped me shovel 1500 lb of
dirt for the second time in two weeks
and uh he was pissed but I’m like hey
man if you’re going to eat you got to
help
n Shiloh my son he can’t weed to save
his life he does a terrible job of
weeding terrible won’t listen I’ll be
like pull the roots up and he’ll grab it
and just rip it up and then all the
roots are left behind and I’m like man
what’s going
on man these these spammers are just
brutal brutal and pitiful it’s kind of
sad how people
operate are they spammers what’s the
trolls
sorry I just looked up from the comments
I had to boot a couple
people does anybody grow any lettuce or
anything like that right
now
[Music]
yeah they
are yes they are they are the weeds of
the people world that’s exactly right I
need a
break that’s funny too cuz I keep
booting them and they just come right
back and it’s like dude you’re killing
me bro let us in the hot bed not up yet
what’s a hot
bed bronze all right I’m G but butcher
it m mnet lettuce
interesting herb garden Marise I don’t
know if I know this or not I’m getting
confused is this your first
Garden
so
actually as soon as I get off here I’m
going to hard my viven and little gem
lettuce early I’m going to start
now because I got two heads left in the
greenhouse and then I don’t have any
lettuce back so I got to I got to jump
on that we can’t go
without butter crunch I’ve tried it not
a fan
I I just I hate to say it but I’m just
I’m not a fan I don’t like that uh that
type of list I’m a Roman kind of guy you
know and I’ve
actually never tried to grow iceberg
lettuce but I don’t like iceberg lettuce
so I’m not going to grow it and a lot of
people have asked me to grow it and my
family doesn’t eat it so it’s
like why would I grow it if nobody eats
it um I get a a lot of people asking me
to test grow things and test things
out and stuff like that and um I don’t
do that stuff because even though I do
this and I enjoy it like all of this is
for me and my family and the benefit
that everybody else can have if they
choose so to you know or they like it
whatever through YouTube is the videos
but first and foremost is me and my
family you know this where the homestead
part comes in where we’re growing this
stuff for our
home okay that’s what a hot bed yeah I
figured that’s what it was but I wasn’t
sure thank
you yep got a pair of balls see
you
cool
it works
right so um we are
almost I’ve got videos coming out coming
up
and we’re over 50% planted for
spring so that’s good
news um we just redid All the beds so
the wild Gardens got three beds or the
last three beds that need to be
planted and then we’ve got some the
greenhouse needs to be updated as in
replanted cuz we success in planting
that
and that should be what we where we sit
right now um at this point in the live I
do like to get some ideas from you guys
about what you want to see in the videos
stuff you want to see
hear about learn about watch any of that
stuff um yeah thank you Shiloh
definitely hit the like button and all
that good stuff and um you know for all
those people that are worried about
balls I mean go ahead and hit the like
button you might as well you’ve already
let us know you’re
here thanks Jullian yeah I had a little
bit of a growth spurt recently um it’s
an interesting thing doing this I will
say I’ll leave it at that it’s just
interesting you don’t really expect um
I’m trying to open a Sharpie with my
phone in my hand actually more difficult
than I thought it’s kind of fun to see
and fun to have conversations with
people really and talk to gardeners all
over the world I love
it you know you guys are more than
welcome I’m glad you like it thank you
Mr Glenn I’m glad you found
me I was starting to wonder for a while
if YouTube would put me out there to
people you know I just try to keep it
real the Ste okay the ster pin is that
the one with the seeds that you seed
it
oh and by the way if you guys saw my
video about um the garden struggle and
all that why Gardener struggle and the
company that put that out I never said
the name of the company and I’m still
not going to say it but I just want you
to know that that’s the last product
that I’ll be
buying so um you know I kind of felt bad
after I open like I bought it already
and I was like a cool I got some plant
tags and I opened it I’m like damn
[Music]
so
oh am I streaming on YouTube short that
shows how much I
know they’ve made it so complicated it’s
ridiculous I’m just a simple guy trying
to do something fairly simple I
guess yep
Shilo that’s exactly right thank
you I don’t
care I’ve watched a lot of content over
the years and it’s shaped the way that I
think about
things because I’ve been steered down
the wrong path by social media in my
garden more times than not okay
Stephanie if you want me to I will and
um it’s just part of it um so I’ve kind
of shaped my experience through all that
stuff and then get it out there to the
people and if you you can digest it the
way I present it then
great yeah I figured it was I’m sorry Mr
Glenn MC Glenn I think I’ve been calling
you Mr Glenn the whole time really sorry
now I have my phone in my hand it’s so
much
easier so uh g& J have you been sticking
to it and using
it the seed starting schedules
are super tedious to
do but I’m
learning so much about the rest of the
country’s growing it is absolutely
insane and the video that caused the
growth that you guys have seen was over
zones and it’s crazy that what I said in
that video I already believe but now
it’s like completely solidified it
100% it’s completely
different um bigs I’m on
YouTube I don’t know what other app to
be on but thanks for
asking thank you Connor I’m glad you’re
learning a
lot because you know
we I feel
like I’m I am who I
am B Bri Washington thank you um I feel
like I’ve said enough about seed
starting this
year but there’s as the year progresses
there’s so much more to go over thank
you Swiss
trooper I mean you can check out seed
time but look planner app is where it’s
at planner app is the deal um they
support our podcast they don’t support
this channel this is not a sponsored ad
I just truly believe in them um I love
that app I’ve done two lives with it so
far and I’m going to do them every
season that I have to plan my guard and
I’ll do more so you guys should check
that out and um since we’re here saying
it there’s a link in the description of
all my other videos that you can get on
that will um give you a deal uh a hefty
discount on all of the plans that they
have
will Edward is about
buy planter planter pla n t r i know I
slur my words I’m
Southern yep planter app is you can use
it on your phone tablet computer
whatever I like it on the tablet and
computer it’s a little bit bigger
but there you go Roberta and actually if
you guys they want me to do a giveaway
but we’re going to do it through the
podcast on Instagram so it’s the
backyard gardens podcast Instagram we’re
going to be announcing it soon and you
guys can come on there and uh Ender for
a chance to win the uh I think it’s a
lifetime membership he wants to give
away cool
John okay thank you
swish no absolutely not the farmers all
act planter app it is just planter
app as a matter of
fact I’ll show
you if I don’t knock over my seeds it’s
going to get dark for a second I got to
go in the
house yeah cuz I looked for a lot of
different apps back in the day and they
were very expensive and this one is
extremely affordable so this is what
they look
like this is for for a different project
that will be announcing
soon wow John Conway is just a dirty one
isn’t
he so all right
everybody I’ve been booting people left
and right they they are way more better
that than I am I can’t that’s that’s why
I picked up my phone so I could just
keep booting people over and over and
over that’s cool John if you think I’m
rude is what it is
bro that’s the fourth time I booted
him
yeah
all right let me see if I can take you
out to the Garden real quick I’m feeling
froggy let’s
jump show you what we did last night if

construction
