  1. Evergreens are great, you don’t have to deal with leaf cleanup in the fall either.
    **QUESTION **
Can you do a video on how you kill the grass?

  2. I'm always as excited as Aaron when it's tree planting day. It feels so satisfying to see you dig a big hole, free up the root ball from the cages, and plant them. Question: Are there any plans to plant up great big shrubs in the new property like what you have with trees? I was just curious if there have been shrubs you wanted to try out and let them get huge.

  3. It goes without saying that I loved this tree planting+ episode. How beautiful it is to see Aaron, Paul and yourself having such a great time ‘just’ planting trees, and of course, Aaron relishing his new “toy”! Samantha Grace was fittingly stylish with her mixed footwear and for a moment there I thought she could be the new Vanna White!! 👸😂❤🌲🌳🎄🏕️🏗️🚜

  4. You might want to look into native grasses that put deep roots in that you will not have to water but the animals will love. You can enter saw it with what grass you already have there and eventually hopefully you will take over.

  5. I like hearing your future plans and today's placement of trees was excellent. Each one seemed to be in the perfect spot.

  6. Why not seed some native wildflowers instead of the rock mulch ? It would lend so beautifully to your already gorgeous natural design out there.

  7. I would imagine you have considered it, but instead of the rock on that slope – could you do a native short grass, if you have one? One that would be fine without irrigation and wouldn't grow tall, eliminating the need for mowing. I don't know if such a thing exists for your area. For us it's buffalo grass.

  8. It looks like the soil in this section is a little bit better when they dig. Both guys look like they are very happy. And now because you are my mentor – off to the garden center! But I have to get deer resistant trees – no arborvitae for me!

  9. Some Aspens would be cool. I always think their bark is so interesting in winter. Would they grow for you? Or what about Gingko's?

  10. That mixed border is going to be beautiful when it's all mature and filled in. The tree tongs are a great investment. What type of tree are the white flowering ones on the neighbor's property?

  11. That Bobcat was a great purchase. Its going to pay for itself in knees, backs, and hands. The three spots arthritis likes to live. Its a game changer for Aaron and Paul, as well as Laura and Bethany. Its going to free up so much time to do other projects.

  12. My husband and I just planted a redbud and took us at least two hours and here you are planted so many trees in just a breeze! The right tools and equipment speak for themselves. Anyways, thank you for inspiring me.

  13. I wanted to say, be sure which variety of Hollywood Juniper you bought. I bought two this year that get 30-40 feet! (Kaizuka are the ones I got)

  14. Hi Laura! I bought a Blue Spruce around Christmas time, it came in a 3 gallon pot, how long will it take to get a decent size? Am I going to be waiting a life time lol

  15. Fantastic video! Your eye for what will become with these trees is impressive. When Aaron might have left them in the original spot, you scooted them around until they looked even better, making sure their front/best side showed. I remember when the south garden was just dirt, and your discerning eye created the beauty that is out there now! I would love some before/after side-by-side shots of some of your first big trees in the south garden. It would help us novices have patience for what will be. But I know that would probably be a huge editing commitment, for just a few frames. 🤷

  16. What a fun and rewarding day for all involved!
I lived in Nyssa for many years – while I don’t miss the long winter months, I do
    miss the warmer planting months.
    Great job!

  17. Everything looks great. Just curious if you've counted how many trees you have and about how many you would like to have in the end.

  18. Absolutely love it when big trees are going in out there🤩

    Question/Suggestion
I know you guys don't want to mowe the grass out there, and let it go natural… but why not let the grass grow and then mowe the "new path", to get a better feel for it… surely it wil be way less effort than to mulch the whole "new path" at once with the woodchips…

Thanks for the amazing content you guys create, love the channel

  19. I just love to hear the excitement in Aaron's voice when he get a chance to use his new equipment.

  20. Can you guys grow quaking aspens in your area? We can’t grow them in California where I live but our Utah house has them and the rustle the leaves make is so peaceful!

  21. The new tractor was a great buy, esp with the number of trees you plan to plant. Samantha looks very sweet today.

  22. Just wondering with all the property you are aquiring and the wonderful landscaping you are creating, do you foresee adding more help in addition to Paul and Bethany. They do a wonderful job but I have trouble keeping up with my half acre yard. Impressive!
