  1. Hi Kaye! I am an avid subscriber not from your country. May I request for a “day in a life” kind of video/vlog from you. Thank you and more power. Love from the philippines

  2. Hello there dearest kaye, my special friend,.I shall be able to watch you after my dinner. Oh my goodness me your baking looks so delightful and delicious ,xxxxmmmmm!xxxhugs Heather ukxx

  3. I will be impressed if those arugula comes up through those leaves, didn’t know they would do that, thanks for the tips.

  4. That ginger is already sprouting! I bought some organic ginger at the store last year and planted it in a pot and it grew beautifully. Best tasting ginger I had ever had.
I have to buy some potting soil to pot up all those winter sown seeds. I think I must have 1000+ flower seedlings! I have already potted up 64 and have not even scratched the surface!
Your garden looks good, Kaye! I have to plant my tomatoes and peppers but it is flooded here.

  5. I like to use coffee filter over the holes in my planters. BEAUTIFUL rain jacket. What's the brand? I'm going to go find the squash bread video now.

  6. Watching this while at work. 😂 shame on me. I love, love, love ginger… I can eat it raw. It would be one item I’ll to take with me if I am on a desert island.

  7. I hope you figure out what's really going on with your cistern! That's got to be frustrating.

I crowd my arugula and my leaf lettuces so there's not as much room for weeds to grow. And most of them are cut-and-come -again, so you get more lettuce.

Thank you for showing us how you planted your ginger! I would like to do that, too.

I sure do use the chopped leaves a lot! They make a very attractive mulch that is also nourishing for the soil.

As far as the seedlings all over the house, I put up my 2 plastic greenhouses and put all the seedlings that are 4 weeks old or more out there. I only have 5 smaller trays left in the house now, and two 3-gallon pots holding passionfruit vines.

I'm slowly filling my 2 new raised beds with sticks from the yard and chopped leaves. It's hard enough work that I think it will take me a week or two to finish, especially since I'm now down with a bad sinus cold. Ugh!

  8. Got my baby trees in just in time for this big soak!
When it's done, I'll be pulling the last of the weeds & planting the beds.

  9. South east Saskatchewan Canada – we didn't see anything of the eclipse. I thought the sky darkened for a few seconds but it was a cloud. Boo-hoo.

  10. I've already planted leaf lettuce, endive, kohlrabi, kale, 3 kinds, gold beets, peas both sugar snap and string peas. Every window has tv trays filled with flowers, tomatoes, hot and regular peppers, sweet potato slips. I'm out of room! Take care my dear, and have a blessed evening.

  11. All the revelry about the sun made me think of the sun worshippers of Mithras the sun god. For that reason I didn't care to have anything to do with the eclipse, but I sure did go outside last night after sunset to sight the new moon for the Biblically commanded observance.

  12. Wow – you sure are getting a lot of food out of that squash! Love to see your eclipse video as it was cloudy here and we did not see much. Just know you will get to the bottom of the cistern issue come h$ll or high water. Can't wait to get some of my seedlings outdoors too and I have a lot less than you! Have a blessed week..

  13. I’ve been planting too! Planted arugula, micro-greens, squash, chard, basil, dill, kale, lettuce, spinach, radishes, mustard greens, carrots. So far everything is growing except carrots haven’t germinated yet. My strawberries have numerous flowers (they are in their 3 rd year). Very excited about them! Happy planting!😘❤🙏🏻✨

  14. Maybe you could hire someone with a small backhoe to dig all the dirt from out around that area of the cistern, and seal it up some way.

  15. Our weather is warming up and I just planted some more radish and carrots and have recently put in two cantaloupe melons. I am going to plant tomatoes, cucumbers, hot and bell peppers, and watermelon in the coming week or two. No grasshoppers and I have decided not to plant corn this year. I also am happy to see my Sunflowers coming up along one side chain link fence in the ground. Sadly the two Zucchini died (I think they did freeze the other day after all even though I had covered the pots). I saw the 1963 total solar eclipse when I was a girl in a solar eclipse viewing cardboard box we all made in our school class back then. In Los Angeles.

  16. I'm one of those who LOVE your relaxing vids! You're a woman of so many talents! Your rainstorm traveled and just landed on my house in Navarre, Florida! 🌧🌨🌩⛈️🌧

  17. I just found seeds today for the tromboncini (sp?) squash, then watched your video and you mentioned it. 🥰 I'm a longtime subscriber and usually don't comment but I thought this was cool.
