I am direct sowing seeds for all sorts of beans right now in the month of April. If you experience issues direct sowing bean seeds, then try sowing 1 seed per cell of a 72 cell seed tray to basically grow out individual plugs. They are ready to transplant at the 3 week mark. Beans are a very easy beginner friendly crop as they are ready to harvest in about 2-2.5 months from seed.

Pole beans are great, you get MUCH more than bush types. The more you pick the more you get! I like Fortex.
Also pick them BEFORE they swell up. Pick them YOUNG.
Can’t see the plant you are talking about.
Pole beans are the easiest and kids love to harvest them for dinner!
#allthebeans 😂 my new favorite are dragon tongue beans. The flavor is so unique, crisp and light and they look really neat.
