  1. I have asked before! But, I still haven’t seen your Texas Sage “tree” you put in the ground near the left, side corner of your backyard! I may need to wait for your reveal! But I didn’t see it since you put in that cute, smaller window box!!!

  2. I can not find Happy-grow mulch anywhere and I’ve been told it’s not sold any longer. Do you if this is true or just not available in my Texas area 9B?

  3. Linda, your yard is beautiful. The tulips and pansies, just gorgeous. I would be driving by your house daily if I lived there. 🩷

  4. I had one boxwood in my landscape and it was badly affected by leaf minor and eventually it had to go out. I'm very scared to buy another boxwood as it is so hard to fight that insect.

  5. Question – I am struggling with slow growing plants or evergreens that get afternoon hot sun Zone 7.
Small space – but needs help. Had 30 yr old azaleas that were taken out by blight. Boxwoods aren't doing very well that I replaced them with. I have fertilized every Spring & Fall but just not doing well.
    Any input would be wonderful.

  6. Hi Linda, What's the secret to such quick success and beauty with the new Snowball Viburnum? My approach to planting pansies is to plant violas instead in the fall. They seem to do better for me, more erect without such floppy flowers. Mine are beautiful and mounded this spring.

  7. Love the peek of your back patio, it is looking awesome! Also the color of your blouse looks really good on you.

  8. Hi Linda . My cross stitching and quilting hobby’s almost came to an end because of hand , mostly thumb pain. I have been wearing copper thumb rings for several years and my pain has been null and void after about two weeks. Worth a try and I’ll be buried with my rings on. 👍👍🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

  9. Linda when you were standing at the bottom of your front steps the color of your flowers was just outstanding !! Putting the pansies around the boxwoods looks so sweet ! Enjoyed this video, so full of ideas. Will be looking for the better boxwoods here in sw Pa..

  10. Try using hand lotion and plenty of it to remove the paint, it usually works for me. Lather up with lotion, wash and repeat.

  11. Have you thought about copper or other metal name tags for your trees and shrubs? They would enhance your botanical garden arboretum!

  12. Oh dear,! Golfers elbow, im such a gardner and florist and have it too.. is it the constant digging, pruning, cutting, and lifting ..im feeling your pain,..take care..your garden is worth all the pain..janis

  13. Here in Tennessee, my hostas are starting to appear.. I Love my hostas, I have huge ones in a bed and several pots of them

  14. What a full video! Thank you for showing off the snowball viburnum. It's glorious.

My sister suffered with hand arthritis for a long time. She found a doctor, a surgeon really, who injected the nerve at the base of her thumb. It was such a relief that lasted several months and then they'd repeat the process. It worked great for several years…until it didn't. Last fall, she had hand surgery to replace the tendon/ligament with a cadaver one. Her surgery and physical therapy went so well and with our mild winter, she decided to have her left hand done in February. She's still healing and limited in her movements, but she's so glad she had it done.
She cares for her two horses and several cats. She was able to sew a beautiful quilt for her youngest granddaughter who is graduating HS this summer. She made me some lovely pearl earrings (the pearls were from a necklace our dad gave our mom when he was in Japan recovering from getting shot at in Korea. So they're special for a few reasons.) So, despite her crying, "I have no hands!" She manages to get by pretty well. She's tough.
I hope you find some relief as she did.

  15. ❤️ the idea of mulching my pots with gravel. Squirrels should not be interested! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

  16. Could the yard look any better, Linda? It is so magnificent. I am in awe of this beauty. Wonderful, wonderful work you’ve done at this cottage!

  17. Hi from The Cotswolds….I was so intrigued by the new Better Boxwoods as they are Blight resistant but having had a quick check online they still don’t repel Box Caterpillars which is so prevalent in my area. I lost all of my box topiary/hedges last year to Box Caterpillars (having also suffered with Blight too previously) and can’t bear the thought of trying again 😢🧡💚🧡💚

  18. I have one of those battery powered pruners and had a close call last week. My finger was in the way and I missed it by an inch or so. Deadly in deed. Be very careful using those pruners.

  19. Linda, you should do an elimination diet for your arthritis. Plant foods are triggering it. I suffered arthritis for more than 20 years. Eliminated all plant foods and pain no more.

  20. Hi Linda you have an awesome garden . I would like to know what fertilizer do you use for snowball viburnum you inspired me to get some I have two I would like to know how to care for it I’m south Texas thank you

  21. I struggle with the Eugenia topiary but they are beautiful. Also I have a snow ball viburnum which was beautiful last year. This year it only had one large bloom. Any thoughts? Thanks
