  1. Not sure if it’s cold enough but you may want to look into an ice rink for the kids, they make kits that you can put in yourse

  2. Hi Laura, I love your videos have learned so much! Anyway would this process work on Siberian Iris? I have a huge plant that doesnt have much growth in the center and would like to get looking better.

  3. Thanks for the great tips! 2 Quick question. When will the Topiary kneeling pads come in? I want to be able to use it to replant all the divisions. My old pad is on it's last kneel. 2nd question when is the best time to divide Hosta's? Thanks again. God Bless

  4. Amazing how many free plants you got simply by dividing! A fear I have to conquer this year!! Oh yes, the joy of just being out there!!! Definition of gardening.

  5. I’m so surprised you decided to put in a play set for the kids! I guess your land has changed and probably your lives in so many ways. I wonder about the use it will get in the future? I hope it’s a fun addition to their lives. I know they will love the trampoline! We’ve had ours for probably 30 years, we bought it for our kids and now our grandkids enjoy it.
Whew! Those sped up sections of the video were crazy fast! Maybe Taylor should run the store and Ken should go back to editing?

  6. I have to split my Day Lilly’s every couple of years. Goodness, those plants are so hardy. I had cast offs that no one wanted. I threw them into old planters and they rooted in. But that is what I will be doing once the snow is all gone. Anchorage Alaska, zone 4b. But apparently we and now a zone 5. I’ll keep planting for zone 4b.

  7. Lol the editor is so tight.. as you were replanting the cut out the transfer… and it looked like you just popped from place to place

  8. This is how we have a spring plant sale at MSU Tollgate gardens! We dig up all the plants that need dividing and pot them up in gallon containers. We only charge $6 a plant in June after they have sized up in June. It’s a win-win for everyone-we make money to support the garden, the plants benefit and the customers get inexpensive plants. ☺️

  9. I think it's time for an early Spring tour. I was noticing some of the trees they have planted and the Spring bulbs and would like to see up close how they are doing. Anyone else ready for look-see? The house, with its new paint job is looking pretty.

  10. I agree, if you HAVE TO speed up, please not so fast. I prefer no speed up but I know you all are worried about how long the videos are. Lol, always too short for me.

  11. I am envious! Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada and I still have 18 inches of snow on my garden beds. A little grass showing through on the south side lawn. Dividing happens in early May if I am lucky. Annuals go in after the 24 th of May. A short but glorious summer in our zone 3 area.

  12. When the rain stops here in western Washington I'll get on that.
Did you know we have a rain forest here?

  13. I love how you can use the back of your gator kind of like a work bench to divide some of the plants. So handy and a nice height. I was looking up the Miscanthus sinensis 'Cabaret on one website and it said prohibited in Oregon and Idaho among others. I assume that means to ship to those states. I found that interesting as I’ve never heard of it being invasive are they?

  14. sorry, gasping at first, then laughing…but it seemed like you cut as many drip lines as plants! LOL I do the same! 🙂

  15. Finally 🎉 The mighty miscanthus got its turn of dividing. Laura was planning to get after it for almost 5 years. Question: how well do grasses react to diving, do they look skimpy and floppy after diving or should we just trust the process 😊

  16. Laura, you’re always so sweet too worry about us not being able to hear you, but my experience has been that I’ve never had a problem hearing you even when you think your mic is turned off. I think you must have really good recording equipment!

  17. Laure, since there is a Manhole out there in the Play area, will you be building an outdoor Bathroom?? That will come in very handy some day when your kiddos bring home a team of friends……and give you another bathroom to access…….instead of them all infiltrating into your home…………….or what is your plan for that ManHole??? Will Aaron take Benjamin down there, to meet the underground livers???……………oh the mystery that could lie under there……..lol
