Get in here and try to get the garden till and what I mean is uh the garden’s still going to be laid out like it was last year in a different row I went ahead and grabbed the manure pile and whatnot that was up in the goat stall or
The goat pasture and a couple weeks ago I spread that out all throughout the garden so you’ll see different piles just kind of randomly spread out through here and uh really what I want to do is take the tiller come through and I want
To till all this in once we get it all tilled up I plan on putting the r better that we built uh there’s a video on our channel so you can go check that out but I’m going to put that on and we’ll bed out all the rows again and Jerry’s got a
Diagram of exactly what she wants to plant in the garden this year uh this year is a little different though because every year prior we have started our seedlings in the greenhouse or in the basement under the UV lights and tried to grow the starts this year the
Goal is everything everything in the entire Garden is going to be planted by seed so we want to see how that turns out hey we’re learning year by year we’re trying to tweak it here in there for today the big goal is get all this
Tiled up because what I want to do is I want to put the fence back up right now just like we did last year we took the fencing and we just kind of wrapped it around and it’s just sitting against the side of the garden right here what we’ll
Do is we’ll grab that fence we’ll pull back around but we’ll have to put a toost back in here about every eight feet I’ve got the TST again they’re all just laying right there on the ground in front of the garden so this is open to
Allow the tractor in and I’m going to get up here on the tractor we’re going to get these till in and hopefully it shouldn’t take long but maybe 10 15 minutes at the most so let’s get Tilling N [Applause] n [Applause] all right just like that we got the garden all tilled up so you can see it’s pretty much all rad out just from driving up and down on the existing rows from last year um that’s going to be good enough for now nothing else I’m
Going to have to do with this today we do need to get out here with the road better that way that it could bed it up a little higher it’ll kind of pull the dirt a little higher and give us a little taller beds for that for now this
Is going to be where we leave it for the night all right I didn’t think I was going to be able to get down here on the other side of the trellis but actually I got half of these rows I didn’t get the top part because the of course the
Tractor couldn’t fit and I didn’t feel like turning around and messing up the rest of the rows in here with the tractor but we’ll have to till this top part eventually right now it’s it’s good to go I just want to loosen up get everything tilled in and that’s that was
The goal for today which is good look at this cilantro that’s all from last year it just started coming up on its own we’ve got a several cilantro bushes plants there was one or two more I Ted up with the tiller but that’s kind of funny how
They all came in not on purpose we didn’t do that on purpose but it is pretty interesting how they came on their own I didn’t realize they’re perennial maybe they aren’t I don’t know all right now we got the garden all taken care of for the night uh again
This is where we’re going to leave off we’ll have to get in here bed it up and put the fence back but I’m going to go ahead and probably let’s see it’s getting a little late so we’ll have to head and get some chores done get the
Eggs collected and uh make sure Red’s fed and the cow’s Waters everything’s taken care of so let’s head over there and take a look all right well never mind Jerry already did the chores so those are all taken care of come down and check on everybody though did you guys have your evening
Dinner yeah How you doing today Roger you doing good yeah you keeping all the young men around here straight I’m assuming we’re going to have quite the uh the chicks or quite the ducklings coming here in a few weeks once they all start hatching so we’ll have little ducklings everywhere and
Then we’ll have to try to find them homes cuz we’re not going to keep them all here guys that’s a lot looks like Patty’s in the hay today huh they like to stand in here for some reason even though they can reach it without having to stand inside the little hay
Area I’ve got a new round bail for them coming oh I think in 2 days that will I have some a fresh bail of hay out here rad you already ate I think huh yeah you drinking some water I see the duck over there cleaning up now that the geese aren’t in the
Pasture there we really don’t need that trough there however we’re just going to keep it for now we’ll do we throw some cracked corn in there for the ducks and chickens that eat on throughout the day that are up here by the barn we got the
Garden done all the chores are done so there’s not much more to do this evening I hear you banjo we’ll say hi to banjo and his his two ladies if we get over here by the fence I’m sure they’ll come running over hi banjo what are you doing where’s your other lady
At Jerry got banjo and her his two ladies from the Our Fair our local fair last year so they’re cute so we keep them locked up though cuz they’re so small um they’re bantam chickens and we don’t want them to be out here free ring and vulnerable to Predators as bad we
