  2. Hi Gary how are you doing today iam doing fine today thank you for sharing stay safe 😂😂😂

  3. Have you ever tested different cardboard boxes for chemicals? Perhaps to keep bugs from getting into them.

  4. I need to start some new beds. I’ve been container gardening but my family wants more food grown so on ground beds are now needed. Do you have video and tips for beginning new beds? Thank you

  5. Hi Gary. Great Video. My average last frost date is April 10th. Last year I was able to get an early start with plants in the ground on April 1st. This year there is potential frost in the forecast for April 4th and 5th. I'll have to keep an eye on the temperature for April 6th. It is forecasted with a low of 38F. If it holds, I may start transplanting Saturday. If the temperature drops by even a single degree, I'll hold off to Sunday. Temperatures are forecasted to be in the mid 70s most days with lows in the upper 50s or 60s. The hard part is already done with over 200 start transplants being planted. All of my tomato beds have bunching onions growing in them as companion plants. I'm hoping the onion odor helps mask the tomato aroma. They will attract voles, but the raised bed bottoms are all lined with 1/4 inch hardware cloth. I dare them to bite through that! If they do, I now where I can go to collect rocks by the bucket load. They won't bite through that. Four of eighteen of my raised beds are without lining. Next year's project is collecting stone to line the bottoms with, and moving two of them to where they get more sunlight. They do good spring through fall, but don't get enough sunlight from November through about mid March. It hasn't been a problem but if I want to get an early start with beetroot and radish, I need to move them.

  6. Hey Gary… this is my main method of gardening. It works so well. I’ve done a variety of no-dig methods for establishing beds. I have a bunch of videos on my channel.

  7. It looks nice and neat! I’m curious, how often do you have to do this to your mulched walkways? I use wood chips provided by Chipdrop so they are larger. They have been on the ground for almost a year and they haven’t broken down yet. I assume at some point I will need to do this as well.

  8. I took me 30 years to figure out this method of gardening. Of course those first 30 yrs were mostly before the internet took off so it was harder to learn things back then. I noticed you're putting strawberries around a fruit tree. I have a 8×4 foot raised bed that I'm planning on putting 3 blackberry canes in the back to grow up a cattle panel with strawberries in front. Think I can plant strawberries up to a foot of my blackberries or will they be too crowded? I was hoping to get around 18 strawberries in front of the blackberries. Thanks!

  9. Awesome video. I have the perfect space to do this at the ends of my raised beds to add flowers.

On a funny note. Am I the only one that mimics Gary’s hand gestures while watching videos 😅😅😅???
