Install them on the sides for a more aesthetic appearance incorporate a standing cabinet for storage of laundry supplies connecting to a laundry sink with an embedded washing machine use a sheer curtain to cover it neatly install a foldable clothes rack by the window for drying pillows and shoes saving
Space when not in use on the opposite side create a tall cabinet for storing everyday items with a sofa bed underneath for Comfort when guests arrive pull out the bed for a temporary bedroom with drawers for pillows and blankets utilize the space around the windows for tall cabinets to store books
And decorations with a small bar

Im no architect/engineer but putting washing machines and plumbing on a balcony isn't the best idea.

I would not do that. I would rather maximize the view and put a comfortable sofa looking the wonderful view.
The balcony is not meant for that. It is to get some R&R. Away from home while you are in your apartment.
For me, the balcony is meant for enjoying the air, the sun, the view of the surroundings and looking at my plants, flowers, dwarf tree while I'm drinking my tea. Like being in the park.
With SUCH a view, dont install a washing machine. Put your sofa on the balcony and some plants and a tiny table for your morning coffee. 🙃
