Gary Pilarchik: Fall Gardening: Planting Garlic & Elephant Garlic with Organic Fertilizers – TRG 2014

Garlic needs a cold period to best produce bulbs come late spring. In Maryland Zone 7 the best time to plant is late September through October. Fall garlic just needs to establish a strong root system. Bone Meal, Blood Meal and Epsom Salts are great fertilizers for garlic beds. I show you how to plant garlic and prepare the bed. And I also plant elephant garlic.
