This is a short-term plant that is “forced” into blooming for you inside. It flowers for about a week and then the show is over for the year. You could plant the bulbs in the ground outside if you want to see them again next spring.

It is not a houseplant and can be considered disposable once it looks peaky. Nature means for it to be pretty for a few weeks, then progressively look more sickly, and finally to go back to sleep underground.

Just let ’em be, leave them in the window, and enjoy the flowers while they last. I’d stop watering them until the top inch of soil dries out, then give just water to moisten the soil again.

The flowers are gonna eventually die, and you’ll be left with some leaves and bulbs. If given the choice, I’d say plant them in the ground for next year, but considering you live in an apartment, I’m not sure if that’s an option for you at the moment…

You can always let their leaves get energy from their sunny spot, then find a nice container for them and then Google how to force their dormancy period for next year 😀

You enjoy them while they’re flowering then plant them in the yard is you have it. If you don’t have a place to plant them you might as well toss them or give them to someone else.

Once they are done blooming, don’t cut the leaves. Let them die naturally, you can put the pot outside if you want for that process. Then in a few weeks when it’s fully died back, plant the 3 bulbs outside. Wear gloves because hyacinth can irritate your skin!
