I am a 2024 bride, and I am growing my own wedding flowers

I plan on succession planting and this is the first batch of seedlings that will be planted this weekend.

I didn’t pay for your tuition, but I’m so proud of you. Congratulations!

That’s amazing! Kudos to you! I wish I was experienced as you for my own wedding!

Out of curiosity what flowers are you growing? Or did you cover that in the video already? 🙂

What flowers are you doing? I’m doing something similar for my June wedding. I tried to look up what plants would bloom at the right time, but of course I imagine some will not work out. If I have beautiful flowers in July and August, I will like that as well.

I’m mentally prepared that none of my flowers will either grow or bloom in time, although I do have quite a few perennials that grow I can use as well.

I went with ranunculus and anenomes, but bought them from Amazon and dollar store so not huge hopes for those, I could not find them anywhere in store in time.

Also babys breath, snap dragons, lupine, larkspur, stock, cosmos and poppies.

What’s your plan to mature thi? Are you doing a hydroponic system or are you putting them in ground?

How fun! Good luck with the growing!

Also, I don’t want to be a debbie downer, but please make sure you have a backup plan! With gardening/farming, you can do everything right, only to have Mother Nature make other plans. I think someone posted recently that all of the tulips they had planted for their wedding bouquet were heavily impacted by unusual winter weather, which is enormously unfortunate. Luckily, it sounded like they had a backup plan to get flowers elsewhere.
