I started creating these paintings back in January after having my son and they were a creative reawakening. His presence just filled me with the greatest amount of joy and it translated right into this body of work.
Each plant in this grouping is special to me in some way, either through travel or memory. The color palette unified the illustrations and soothed me as I painted each piece. I have been calling the colors my “healing tones”. When I step back to look at the work, I feel at peace.
