Will a Ginkgo Tree Grow in Your Yard?

Ginkgo is an extremely slow growing tree that will eventually reach more than 50 feet. They do well in the city where the air may not be as clean. Gingko also can tolerate soil conditions that would kill other trees.

Gingko Biloba, the Gingko Tree, this is a Zone  4 to9 tree so it it grows in a large uh part of   the United States it is extremely slow growing  but it will get tall this is where this will get

Up to 50 feet or more wow that’s impressive but  you know it it does very well with the city and   it tolerates soils and environmental conditions  that most trees don’t take okay but it’s a very

Ancient tree and it has survived a long time and  so it can take our cities and and the kind of   environments that we have in the city which is  good so we have to know the difference between

The male and the female tree though right we we  you do yeah they usually are only selling the   male trees these days and clones of them and  what they’ll do is they’ll they’ll graft onto   to stock so they’ll then you make sure you’ll  have a male tree because you definitely don’t

Want the the female tree yeah but the all of  that is is edible though the the berries of   it if you do have a female tray they are edible  and their delicacy in some parts of the wild so

Really yeah this smells so bad okay it does okay  but anyway but I you can’t beat the yellow fall   foliage color of gingko and it’s not a full tree  that’s why I I I recommend it for the city because

It’s not it’s a very loose fitting tree you can’t  you wouldn’t want to have it for a shade tree got   so that’s why I recommend it wow that was quick  if you want quick gardening tips just subscribe below

  1. Why would you not want a female tree. What's the difference between the male + female tree and How do you know the difference?

  2. Your in luck Deb. The growers sell 99.999 percent male. You have to request a female cultivar. I have 12 different varieties. You can get ones that have a tight habit for shade and everything in between. Great trees!
