My husband and I will be building a fairly good size greenhouse (like pictured) in spring to extend our growing season in Northern NH, but I'm having a hard time finding a decent solar powered vent with good reviews for a reasonable price. I'm also considering the automatic vent door arms that open without power when it's hot. My concern with those would be strong winds. We get very intense winds here in the mountains. I feel in a nutshell that a solar vent would be safer.
Any advice would be great! 🙂

It takes a pretty large fan to exhaust a greenhouse properly in the sun. Use this calculator. I don’t know of any solar vents that have that sort of juice. Is it absolutely impossible to run electricity to the greenhouse?

I tried automatic vent door arms and they didn’t work for me to cool anything more than a few degrees drop. I screwed my top vents shut. They just didn’t cut it where I live.
I’d make the gable ends my vents.
They do have solar powered attic fans that might work for what you need. Those do push a lot of air.
