All right we’re here for the first day of spring and we have so many to plant I have purple carrot that they gave me at the store today super excited about purple carrots and we have purple basil dark opal tell me how Lowe’s knew that I was going for this whole purple red

Burgundy theme I ordered on Amazon okra that’s also maroon um we have a arugula we have not found the purple variety yet but delicious and I have heirloom seeds and what is that oh my gosh watermelon and it actually has some other surprises in there so get excited about that and then

Here we have Cherokee purple tomato so we’re going to have a total maroon purple Garden I’m so excited and so what I’m going to do the first step is to create a green house an economical Greenhouse is right here we’ve got a water bottle that I have cut in half

We’re going to fill that up with soil put some seeds on it and then tape it back together and just leave it alone for the next 45 days 45 days so I’ve got my water bottles here and I have some other Planters if I need some more I’ll put it

In here as well and just like put a bag around it to create that Greenhouse Effect and we’re going to have a garden before we know it you guys so I just wanted to show you how I tried cutting this one I cut it underneath the handle

And so it’s giving me a little bit more depth but also it kind of like stays together better than like having to tape it completely back on so I think I like this method better look at that yeah and then I could cut it even higher if I want like somewhere up here

Okay let’s try that so I’ve been faffing about with this for a little bit and look I think cutting these little upside down triangles and then I stick my hand in there and pull them back and that creates a much better drainage system and how did I do that you might be wondering

With this this is what you need need a cutter that’s how you can just cut the little triangles and yeah much faster than scissors highly recommend so I just cut it open but let me show you guys I got the moisture control potty mix that protects against over and underwatering

Because this is super super key protects against over and underwatering it doesn’t matter that it’s a potting mix it just needs to be a moisture control and so this brand was recommended to help cut down on the guessing and it even though it has flowers it works

Really well on vegetables so let’s go ahead and get this into our containers and then we’ll put some seeds in all right so as you can see I’ve already gotten it up there’s about an inch left at the top so I can put the seeds on

There and then fill it all the way up I’ve been working on this one as well still have quite a bit more to go all right y’all this is all the pots I can find we have one two three four five six seven eight of them but I have nine

Packets so let’s see maybe I can find one more but we’re going to go ahead and plant these so I filled it up with about an inch left inch inch and a half I’m going to go ahead and water these all right time to put some water on here

Look at these little baby okra seeds they’re green the ones I had last year were like a dark brown these are going to be burgundy okra when they’re all ready so I’m super excited let go ahead and put them in here so let’s just set few in

Here give them a little bit of space not all of them are going to come up so I’m not going to worry too much about how spaced out they are we don’t want them touching I mean let’s give them a shot maybe not on the edge

There there we go that looks pretty good what do you think okay I’m happy with this looks good let’s do the next thing okay so now we have dark opal purple basil and this is what the seeds look like little little tiny baby seeds so

I’m going to just throw them in here and then we’ll cover them up so this one we’re going to put in heirloom arugula 100% organic and this is what the seeds look like very beautiful seeds also super tiny there’s tons in this packet so I’m just going to

Put I feel like these are quite a bit I’m going to put these in here and then maybe we’ll plant them throughout the year all right let’s get them in so many little itty bitty seeds I’m super excited about this I love arugula love it on a egg sandwich for

Breakfast I mean you have to try so I feel like there aren’t many carrot seeds in there but we’re going to use this deeper container to plant these in place they take off really fast I’m just going to sprinkle some over the top let’s do it these are also purple

Carrots of course fully purple Garden I feel like these seeds are so interesting look at all of the stripes on them I love it okay try to sprinkle some in here looking all go so we’ve got the Cherokee purple tomato seeds I’ll put a picture on the screen

So you can see how these look but super excited about these purple tomatoes you all know what seeds these are you know watermelon seeds yummy yummy I’m so excited like can you imagine if I have a whole watermelon patch at the end of the summer this is going to be amazing you

Guys have to follow along to see us bite into these okay let’s get them in here can anyone guess which seeds they these are so they’re very smooth they’re about the size of a watermelon seed any guesses leave it in the comment section below all right I’m going to show

You cantaloupe who got it right that’s definitely a cantaloupe seed all right we’ll give you one guess for this one too I think I just dropped one looks very familiar leave a comment below I’m about to show you all right that’s what it is it’s a sugar baby watermelon so a

Smaller watermelon I’m super excited about this let’s get it in our little green house okay so I labeled everything so cantaloupe here labeled with the date you’re going to leave everything in their containers for 45 days I’m about to put an inch of soil over the top and

Then we’re going to tape the lid onto it so we have a whole Greenhouse Effect and it’s in there and we just need to cover it and water it and leave it
