My family and I recently bought a house with a 20 X 40 climate controlled greenhouse. We would like to grow organic. What is the best way to keep the grass and weeds from growing up from the edge of the greenhouse?

I’d use a ton of elbow grease to remove it all by hand. Then on the outside of the house, start clearing away some of the grass/weeds ( maybe like a 4 to 6 inch strip). Lay black mat on the inside of the greenhouse and on the outside too, cover with stone of your choice.
You can use chemicals if you’d like, but you mentioned organic so I’m recommending physical labor.

For my last build I made a concrete block foundation ( 16” depth) to keep weeds and creatures out cus it’s a grow in the ground greenhouse, it’s a bit more effort to build but worth it in the long run I think, installing it under an existing greenhouse would also be a lot possible

Get on your knees and weed. Welcome to organic.

Steam for the weeds. STEM spray for the ants.

For weeds – poly groundcover stapled down. Hose or pressure wash it when it gets dirty. Or a 2″ minimum layer of crush n run gravel.
Spray weed escapes with your favorite organic spray like vinegar. Or pull. Or both. Stay ahead of them.
Pressure wash the entire interior and exterior of your polycarbonate or fiberglass walls and poly roof. Use a cleaner and disinfectant designed for greenhouses.
For the outside perimeter, use a weedeater or mower and make sure you keep the weeds cut before they set seeds. Interseed with grass or clover or another groundcover. Stay on top of it. Weeds definitely harbor insect pests.
Hygiene is a huge deal. Especially if you’re trying to grow organic. Keep the mold, weeds, and fungus gnats and other insects under control, or you’ll be disappointed.
