  1. I donโ€™t know why โ€œpreppingโ€ is seen as a bad thing. If you have responsibility to take care of others, you have a responsibility to be prepared for power outages, weather-related problems, etc. All hospitals have contingency plans for anything that can go wrong. One year we had an ice storm that resulted in our power being out for 7 full days. Thank goodness we were prepared with a kerosene heater, but now we have a generator. Itโ€™s wise to be prepared.

  2. Is it actually something that he is leaving a spray behind as I have a girl and boy cat brother/ sister and they both shake their buttocks like they are spraying but I put a tissue near their buns and nothing coming out mine are indoor cats as well and they are both been done at the correct age then it started it was strange I asked my vet and got told itโ€™s may be because they are just happy and I have also googled it and got same answer as the girl started first and i have two other cats and they donโ€™t do it so itโ€™s quite weird

  3. Solar is a great idea, but considering how much wind your area gets, have you thought about a windmill. I saw one shaped like a tree with spinning leaves.

  4. People don't own cats, cats own people. Can't control a cat. No offense, but dogs are better and more useful pets.๐Ÿ˜Š

  5. Aron, donโ€™t underestimate the job that Cheddar is doing in protecting your property from being invaded by feral cats. He marks (sprays) because he smells cats that doesnโ€™t belong to the household.

  6. I heard you can play music to keep the birds away from your berries or I've heard a tropical bird sound coming from parking garages. It might be annoying but if it saves your berries might be worth a try.

  7. This video gave me a strong GOP vibe which again is disappointing. Hopefully you will get back to pleasant content of antiquing with your mom and Monica or updates on her new addition.

  8. Aaron, when youโ€™re doing the math, donโ€™t forget that you have to maintain the panels and they actually have a pretty short life span before needing to be replaced. Solar panels look great on paper, but โ€ฆ as with most things ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

  9. Rip out all of those boxwoods? I gasped! Iโ€™m sure if you decide to do that ,you would transplant or giveaway.

  10. Aaron, I'm with you on the preparedness. My mom and dad went through the great depression so my whole life they talked about it to us kids, and, at all times we had lots and lots of extra food. I think the solar makes sense for you guys. Yes, I'm sure it is a big investment but I do believe that things could go 'south' quite quickly in today's U.S.A.

  11. I have boiled water and poured over seed starting mix and everything germinates beautifully and I never struggle from fungus gnats. I have to do this because we have them quite bad outside.
I have now done this 4 times over a couple years and it works like a charm.

  12. He's spraying because of Douglas. Most male cats spray to mark their territory, or they have bladder stones. Once the medical is taken care of, they usually stop. But with lots of strays coming around, you're going to have that problem. My indoor outdoor male cats don't spray in the house, but when they go outside, you can watch them freshen up their perimeter. Lol

  13. I sometimes forget how different culturally our American neighbours are from us. I was stunned when one of Aaronโ€™s first thoughts is defending your property as a priority in the event of a long term disruption to our critical infrastructures. It never would have crossed my mind. Weโ€™ve had a handful of apocalyptic feeling natural disasters in my area where we go numerous days or weeks without basics like electricity and it always makes our communities stronger. Neighbours with generators are willing to share them and if there are neighbouring communities with power there are always people who invite strangers into their homes for warmth, to shower, have a warm meal, and even to store their perishable food until they have a fridge/freezer again. ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

  14. Cheddar is spraying more bc Douglass is there and the rubbing on the legs is bc he is there too; they are claiming you with their scent on you

  15. Yes burning your grass, pasture or lawn does make it beautiful! It kills so many of the weed seeds and makes the already established grass so green. Definitely try one section and compare. You'll be amazed!

  16. Aaron….the word you are searching for is dethatch your lawn.
They sell tools for that!!!!! Will make your life easier. Thanks for your videos. Love you guys.

  17. We've been using ground leaf compost for mulch here in southern Ohio for the past two years and it is definitely better than the wood mulch we used to use. It has really added nice loose soil on the top layer in all our beds, and what few weeds do emerge are so easy to pull out. Just had 14 yards delivered this past week. Will start spreading this week. Definitely recommend it.

  18. Aaron… call Current Connected and get a bid from them. We have solar are off grid actually…. and I have 3 greenhouses…

  19. Good morning from Alberta, Canada. I was wondering if you may consider also stating your temps in Celsius as well ? ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿซฃ

  20. I think my generation (like your mom) we had children earlier. By 36 I had a 16 and 11 yo. Empty nesters in our 40โ€™s. Different times. My daughter had her first and only child at 32.
