Hey ya’ll, I’m Jess from Roots & Refuge Farm
Welcome to a place that feels like home. A small farm with a big family. We hope you’ll pull up a chair, grab some coffee and visit awhile.
There was a time that all I wanted in the world was a little farm where I could raise my family and grow our food. Now, that is exactly what exists outside my door. In watching it unfold, a new dream was formed in my heart – to share this beautiful life with others and teach them the lessons we’ve learned along the way. Welcome to our journey, friend. I am so glad you’re here.

I was just hoping for a video from you today!! ❤️
There’s nothing like a beautiful morning in South Carolina!!!!
Love that sound of the geese😊
Here in middle Georgia the wild geese have been letting themselves be known too!!!!!
Love this weather
We have wild geese every year at our pond. Two years ago, they actually made a nest there and had 6 babies. I normally have 3 families show up. They go between 4 ponds around here.
UM EXCELENTE FINAL DE SEMANA JÉSSICA 🇧🇷😃👏🏻
Canada geese, not Canadian geese.
Wondering if you need to put screen doors on your green house(not removing glass doors) just a thought.❤️❤️
When you start things like beets indoors, how many weeks do you start them before your last frost?
Plenty of bug noise as well.
Eucalyptus…nice!
Can you do a pretty screen door on the inside of the greenhouse? So you could leave the doors open but still have protection from critters and kitties?
Nanking cherrys are really beautiful little trees/shrubs. The fruit is very tasty, but more seed than fruit. Probably good for juice or jelly.
nice video
EU TAMBÉM ESTAVA ESPERANDO UM VÍDEO SEU HOJE!!🍓
Is there a way to install a screen door on your greenhouse? Keep the cats out and circulation.
As an English major, I love reading poetry and will definitely check out Mary Oliver. One of my favorite poems ever is The Bluebird by Charles Bukowski. The first time I read it, I cried. As someone who has always been the “tough” one, that poem spoke to me like no other.
Can you explain the wails again and why you plant that way? Thanks.
Jess, on your green house, can you just add a full screen like a screen door that somehow hooks from one side of the door frame to the other side to get the ventilation but "block" the cats from coming in? Just an idea….love your vids!!!!
I start seeds in 8x6x4 tubs, not cell trays. Old seeds do quite well in those. I never ran an experiment but pre-soaking in sugar water **seems** to help. There is probably a paper online.
