  2. Thank you! I always love watching when you do garden tours. Excited to start the garden. I'm a few weeks behind you.

  3. I'm in salisbury md and I haven't been able to get any seeds started other than strawberries 😢 its hard when I work 6 days a week with 2 kids. I wonder if I'm too far behind to do any cool.crops like Brussels or cabbage

  4. Amazing, As usual. Have you ever allowed you radish to develop pods and eat them? They are delicious!

  5. Hi Gary, great video, you sound like my husband, "you don't have to do it all in one day!" I'm learning to give myself a break and not worry too much if things aren't cleaned up or perfect. But my property is much smaller than yours and I have a lot growing on. Plus a greenhouse, she-shed, and chicken coop so i have to try to tidy as much as I can. Btw, I saw the soil video you just made and I am now going to make my own soil. I'm so dumb, i have a 500 square foot chicken run that is full if organic matter. Not just clay and poop. Every year i throw some of my fallen leaves in there as well as greens from my garden that the chickens don't end up eating. Not to mention their bedding which is just pine shavings and pellets. So I've been going in there with 5 gallon buckets and a shovel and mixing it with peat moss. I add more organic matter and some fertilizer and it's way better than what I've been buying. So thank you for that video. And thanks for the tour. Happy gardening.

  6. Okay Gary, I have gooseberry envy! Can’t have those or currants here in NC due to disease issues. Not enough cooling days for rhubarb (sigh). There sure are a lot of other marvelous things to plant tho! My strawberries survived the winter (totally untended) in my Greenstalk. Followed your directions to update the soil and noticed an immediate perking up of the strawberry plants. I planted a 2nd Greenstalk full of salad greens (transplants, yes, some cheating has occurred here 🤣). Getting some seeding done and riding that roller coaster called “learning curve”. Whew! Thank you for your videos.

  7. I really needed to hear that you don't have to do all in a weekend. I work a full time job and it is hard to get everything done on the weekend. I have plans of turning my whole backyard into a vegetable garden..one thing at a time though…Looking forward to eating my first radish of 2024. I really like the french breakfast…delish. Thanks for your informative and encouraging words!

  8. Love the closet racks as a trellis. If you just had them laying around, that's great to repurpose them. But if you're going to go out and buy them for the purpose of trellising, that's a really expensive trellis!

  9. Could you do a brief video on Instagram about spraying your fruit trees with the horticultural oil? I'm not sure how we should be treating ours. Thank you!
