I’ve been thinking about grafting this variegated astrophytum for a while dose anyone have any tips

   You may want to consider beveling the edges on the bottom of your astro. Otherwise, as it heals and dehydrates it might shrink away from the union.

   I just grafted about 10 that size with a 80 percent success rate. I used Trichocereus Pachanoi and 3m elastic tape to put pressure on scion. Go for it or let it grow.

   same case with my Var Areo. 50/50 on either killing it or change to increase its grown like it’s siblings
