Alright, I built an RDWC system. 18 gallons including reservoir when filled to net pot bottom. I did a really good soil grow using fox farms and had to buy more towards the end of flower so I have a ton left. I have their bush doctor calmag aswell. Ph up and down. Anyone that uses fox farms in hydro with success please chime in. I prefer to use tap water, my city water doesnt have chloramine. I can get distilled in 5 gal jugs, dont want to spend $200 on a RO system till I can afford it.
1. How do I do the first fill?
2 Can I just fill it, ph it, ad the recommended per gallon of both big grow and big bloom per gallon and Let the pump mix it in?
3. do I just top it off when needed with a similar mix depending on ppm?
4. should I be using silica and salt for tap after ph before big grow?
5. I dont wanna buy a seeding set up for $80, I have 8 inch net pots. How can I go about getting the seeds to start? Ill get those rockwoll cubes, can I just put those in cups, water them, clear wrap them and then transplant into pea rock filled net pots when a root system appears?
5.2 should I raise the water past the bottom of the net pot to reach the seedling?
Ill likely switch to General hyponics after this
I will be adding a secondary reservoir that gravity feeds with a float to the main reservoir. Then also have that floated to a RO system.
