#InternationalWomensDay is on its way, and this year, in the spirit of being a female-founded business ourselves, we’ll be hosting a series of events across our shops that features local female makers and founders, beginning with a Pop Up @thesillbk on Thursday, March 5th. We’ll be featuring the following women: ✨ Sara Meadows, @boccaccinimeadows: print designer and illustrator living in Brooklyn, NY. Sara takes inspiration from nature and the tiny details in her everyday surroundings to create unique print illustrations using materials like watercolor, gouache and ink pen. Her printed T-shirts, enamel mugs, art prints, cards, wrapping paper, book, silk pocket squares will be available for purchase at the event. ✨ Kaylin Marcotte, founder of @jiggypuzzles: Kaylin heads the new female-founded puzzle company that’s reinventing the humble jigsaw puzzle by featuring art by emerging female artists, in sustainable and elevated packaging, and using specially formulated puzzle glue. A mix of puzzle designs will be available for purchase at the event. ✨ Aisha Richardson, @loveandpaperny: a crazy plant and cat mom who lives to design paper goods and plant inspired trinkets. She is a lingerie designer by trade and puts her passion and time into Love & Paper NYC in her downtime. You can see her works on Society 6, The Sill, and Etsy. Her pins, an assortment of stationary cards and prints and embroidery hoops will be available for purchase. ✨Amélie Mancini, @ameliemancini: French artist and designer living in New York. Her work takes on various forms, from painting and printmaking to textile design and ceramics, exploring the botanical and animal worlds with playfulness and elegance. Tea towels, napkins, pouches, planters, original artwork and kids’ clothing will be available for purchase.
