  1. California Reaper is my favorite pepper, but I do like VERY hot ones! The one whole pepper in a stew is too much for my friends and family, half a pepper with that kind 🙂
I'm bipolar, and gardening is my go to thing for relaxation and therapy! Gardening, and lately, playing Baldur's Gate 3, had an extra time over winter! Don't know if you like to play role-playing games, or any kind at all, but I do recommend it, it filled my time while I was waiting for nature to begin waking up! I have sown carrots, onions, brocculi, peas, and even potatoes! I'm in Northern Croatia, zone 7b!

  2. Got another order from you yesterday. Peppers & herbs! Too funny. Still a little early here, I’m 4 hours north of you but last year I planted on 3/5/23, had to up-pot too many times.

  3. I just counted my tomato seedlings (I'm in a relatively frost-free zone in CA) and I've got about twice what I have room to plant! 🙄Fortunately I have friends and family that will give the orphans a happy home. 💚

  4. I created mini greenhouse in one large and long bed, and I put my young plants there, later when it's time to transplant, I plant them in the very spot they were before, but this time in the ground! Have no space for transplants, so I have to make do!
Year before last I sown tomatoes directly on the bed, to see what would happen, and they were MUCH better and stronger than the ones I transplanted! No transplant shock! And they were hardened by colder weather, not all of them survived, but the ones that did, were magnificent!

  5. MIGardner, What zone are you in? You should put your zone on your website so when you talk about seeding people can know the zone.

  6. No Brussels Sprouts or Onions? I might have jumped the gun a week or so but I planted seeds indoors for both over a week and have nice seedlings. Isn’t it time for them?

  7. I bought some of your seeds last November. I started some peppers a couple of weeks ago, and most have germinated. A bunch of bells. Yellow, red, and lilac! Also some hot peppers. Fireworks (seeds left over from last year), jalapeños, and purple cayenne. I'm going to dry the cayenne and make pepper. I wonder if the cayenne pepper will be purple 💜?

  8. I have so many seeds. Every year I buy more. My seed box has seeds from years ago. Any suggestions how to curb my addiction?

  9. Don't start tomatoes yet… too late! 😅 like weeks ago. 98% of what i want to grow is already started (had the itch really bad).

  10. Great video! When do you guys plan to open the store on Saturdays? Thinking about fishing the wall all night on a Friday in PH and swinging by the next morning once you're open to grab some seeds and supplies.

  11. Ive started sowing radish seeds purely because I'm desperate to see GROWTH & HARVEST. I hate radishes 🤦🏼‍♀️

  12. 0:25: 🌱 Optimal seeds for starting now include peppers and herbs, with tomatoes to follow in 3-4 weeks.
2:35: 🌱 Efficiently plant seeds in soil for cost-effective herb harvesting and consumption.
5:37: 🌱 Efficiently starting multiple plants in a small space using 288-cell trays.
8:40: 🌶️ Pepper varieties discussed for late February planting, including Gypsy, jalapeno, Sunbrite bell peppers.
11:53: 🌶️ Exploring a Greek pickling pepper, charred for a sweet, briny taste, drizzled with basil-infused olive oil.

  13. Luke, when you harvest your bell peppers earlier (to maximize growing season in MI) do you let them set out in the counter to turn the color desired? And if so, how long on average do you find that that takes to turn color after picking?

  14. I just filmed a video doing the exact same thing and almost the exact same varieties! Kinda funny😂 I hope to inspire others the way you do!!🌿 Video goes up tomorrow!

  15. 6-10 weeks before frost date: end of February, beginning of March. Peppers, herbs, and cold-stratified herbs. (for my own future reference lol)

  16. For the love….please stop highlighting varieties! I'm pretty sure I've placed at least five orders with you guys This year already. I have no self control. I feel a pepper order coming on….like I need more. Love your business and all you do….I just have no self control

  17. Luke, you once did a video on the petri dish method of starting seeds. Do you still use that? What are the pros and cons and is the paper towel method better? 🤔

  18. I don't have enough room to pot up… one day, when the kids move out I'll have my own seeding bedroom!! 😂 for now i only have about 8ft of space. So far: peppers onions and alyssum started. Avg LFD is June 1st for me… can't wait to start my tomatoes in April 🎉
