  1. You’re definitely off to a great start this season! The Formosa lily, looks very interesting, can’t wait to see the results. Always looking forward to the next video. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Chat is a crushed stone from a quarry. You can get it in all different sizes I usually use one inch. Most garden centers have it in plastic bags. If you don't want to buy bulk.

  3. Your bells are so beautiful!! I have a lot of things starting right now. It should at least be good for the air, if nothing else!😂 I took a seed-starting course last year and learned the trick of moistening the medium with boiling water. But then you need to wait for it to cool off. So I decided to try colloidal silver, and it works perfectly. No mold grows in the soil now. And, if I do catch a little mold growing, I spray colloidal silver on it, and that is that! So currently, I have started: Evergreen Long White onions, Australian Brown onions; Parris Island, Winter Density, and Arctic King COS; Salad Bowl and Grand Rapids leaf lettuces; Chamomile, Yarrow, Marshmallow, Calendula; Italian Classico, Italian Large Leaf, Genovese, and Dark Purple Opal basil; Catnip, Sweet Marjoram, Spilanthes, Peppermint, Spearmint, Pansies, Elecampane, Rosemary, Amsterdam celery, Oregano, 6 Lemons, Sage, Marigolds, Cosmos, Nasturtium, Moss Rose, CA poppies, and Parsley. Phew!! Most, if not all, of the plants listed before the Lemons are up. They're growing slowly because it isn't very warm by the window. But I don't have grow lights (too much $!) But I started my seeds in the window(s) last year, and they all did pretty well. I'm careful to turn them every day or every other day. Having a dedicated seed-starting set up is a dream/goal, though. I spend too much at nurseries, and they don't even have all the things I want. BY THE WAY, KAYE, I HEARD YOU SAY YOU'D LIKE TO GROW A BAY TREE. BURPEE HAS LIVE BAY LAUREL TREES!

  4. I had a similar experience with my roselle. Started with 55 seedlings, a storm swooped most of them right out of the planting tray! 13 left… transplanted late and just got the first calices… and weather changed… 😮 I am doing onions and peppers now.

  5. Good Morning Kaye – You are not alone using your dining room table for seed starting – have packets spread out all over right now myself. Always have too many projects going at the same time and some never get completed but that's how it goes. I have onions, peppers, savoy cabbage, Echinacea going so far with lots more planting today. Old seed is an issue cause you wait 3 weeks to see if it works and then replant. I need to start the damp towel plastic bag method to check them ahead of time but too eager to just get them in the ground. Have a blessed weekend and happy planting..

  6. Gut morning Kaye and cats —some lilies are edible or nice for teas.
The picture of this lily looks so pretty.

  7. You are so far ahead of me! I had other required personal stuff. We had 8”-9” of snow last week (in MA). Today rain & 47 high. May need to purchase some plants this year. You’re inspiring me!!! (My table is covered with Tax stuff) so will create a seed surface elsewhere(?)! Lots of family coming to visit in a few weeks so need to get organized! Cold soil here in Spring so Tomatoes always go out late (barely make it).
    You inspire me! JC81

  8. I have a 6 ft table set up in my dining room to work on seed starting. And my dining room table is covered in seed packs. My grown sons bedroom is now my grow room so I'm right there with you. I also live alone so I can make all the mess I want to. 🙂

  9. Kaye! I got my seeds! Thank you so much again, I can't wait to get these in the ground perfect timing too! Have a fabulous weekend!!! 😁
