I recently moved into a house that already had a greenhouse and I’d like to renovate it and use it. There are a few missing glass panels that I need to replace, they are 61 x 61cm so it seems easy enough to get replacements (I’m a complete newbie to greenhouses so any advice on this is most welcome!)
However, there’s also the gap shown in the photo – I’d have thought there should be one of the 61x10cm glass panels there too, but the metal frame stops so there’s no where to fit one. So, is there supposed to be a gap there?

Yes there should be a piece there, it will need to be fixed in from the outside just like the normal full panes. Any glass supplier will cut a suitable piece out of horticultural glass if you give them the dimensions.
