  1. Also, companion planting helps maximize your yield. You can fill in those empty spaces with smaller plants like herbs, garlic, scallions, carrots, pole beans, and other things that don't take up much space.

  2. 8kg isn't all that much. Fine if it's a hobby but to actually sustain yourself and your family it isn't enough

  3. Aint no free rides in soil fertility; it has to be inputed.
    Micronutrients have to be inputed.
    When the cost of ALL the inputs is more than the ouputs; then production falls.

    Try having the outputs claimed on heavey clay soils; without any inputs.

  4. I have about 150 square feet of raised beds. and a big pile of homeade compost. I am going to try square foot gardening for the first time this year. but only part of the garden! Huw, you are a garden superhero!
