I’m getting some pretty wildly divergent readings from two greenhouse thermometers. They’re placed in the same area inside the greenhouse. One is Bluetooth and the other is a WiFi unit. I verified that the Bluetooth thermometer is accurate, so I can’t figure out why the other one is off by more than 10 degrees. Anyone else have this experience?

I guess firstly what do you mean by “same area” are they literally right next to each other? Temperatures can vary quite a lot within a small area of a Greenhouse, due to air flow and heating/venting. Also one that a lot of people don’t think about is that greenhouses tend to have a vertical temperature gradient, warmer higher up due to heat rising. There’s also a good possibility that the thermometer may be inaccurate, a lot need calibration.

  2. Take all your units inside a building or house where the air is calm and the temperature is steady, place them right next to each other so they’re getting the same air and see if they match after an hour or so. There’s plenty of reviews of Govee sensors being defective where they have large variances even when right next to each other. I lined all mine up and got something like 0.5°F and 3% RH difference between all of them but not everyone is so lucky.

As /u/WeevilWrangler said the air can vary greatly in greenhouses even a few inches apart.
