This will be my second year growing in my greenhouse and last year I had such an AWFUL red mite infestation. It really was almost impossible to try and control the infestation by the time I realized I had them. I’m in zone 6b and now that I’m getting ready to start using it soon I’d like to try fumigating the space (with probably sulfur candles?). Has anyone done this? Do you need to remove all empty pots also? The catch is – my greenhouse is attached to my house (utility room off my kitchen) and worry about potential exposure to the living area. Does anyone have experience on fully sanitizing/fumigating their greenhouse to get rid of mites.
Would appreciate any advice on the topic! My greenhouse sat untouched for decades and it’s been a labor of love to try and restore it. There’s still a lot to do but I’m in the process of still making it a functional growing space.
