Giveaway Okay so the first thing I do when I am planning out my garden is I look through my gardening notebooks you guys have seen these in a few of my garden videos this one is always my layout so this is from last year’s Garden so I just have where I planted

Anything new my perennials are all marked in here you know where the house is this is just my little map of what I planted where and it allows me to decide you know what did well in this area do I need to move it just crop rotation do I

Need to move it for that or whatever I don’t really have many plans for next year’s Garden I don’t even have the garden layout I just have written in here my garlic planting so I have quite a bit to do in terms of getting it all written out but things like the roses

And the perennials along the edge and my little herb area the strawberries the asparagus these are all permanent things in the garden everything else is kind of comes and goes and I switch things around uh some things I’ll remember like I planted eggplant for the last year it’s my first time growing eggplant

Plants grew beautifully beautiful vegetables we don’t like them at all I cooked them three or four different ways not for us we don’t like eggplant even the chickens really didn’t like eggplant so that is not something I will be growing again I do try to grow a few

Different things every year just to try because it’s fun and maybe it’s something I’ll decide we like to eat and I want to keep growing it and maybe not I what’s important for me in my garden is do we like to eat this and then does

It grow well for me because if I really like to grow bell peppers but I can only grow three or four bell peppers on a plant where we also like to eat jalapenos and I can grow 80 jalapenos on one plant it makes more sense to grow

Jalapenos and maybe I get my bell peppers somewhere else so that’s kind of how I look at that so that’s my notebook for my layout this is my planting notebook I don’t do the best job with this I always intend to do a good job when I start off and then it

Just I get sick of it so I have the date of when I started a lot of things last year it looks like I first started planting seeds April 3rd obviously indoors um and I kind of kept up with that through May I have when we planted our

Fruit trees outside and then after that I was not keeping track so all the things that we bought from the Amish stores or once I planted transplanted my seedlings from the shop out into the garden I didn’t keep track of any of that the kitties are here to help with
