My initial book proposal was rejected from dozens of publishers because my style and ideas were too ‘niche’ — but I didn’t give up. I kept working and reworking the proposal until the book was picked up by @abramsbooks and in 2014 we travelled the country and wrote and shot our book: The New Bohemians, Cool and Collected Homes. @Dabito and I knew this would be the cover shot right after we snapped it at the home of @paige_morse, in Dallas. And on the way home on the plane we played with the image and created mock cover designs. Within a month of the book being released it became a @nytimes Bestseller and an amazing springboard from which to launch more creative projects and collaborations. #jungalow #thenewbohobook #toptenofthedecade
