Flowers eventually fade like a good movie must come to an end. Enjoy them while they last then clip off the stalk and move on. Your plant isn’t dying – assuming you have given it the best possible light and are watering accordingly, then the plant is trying its best.

I get that you don’t want the flowers to fade prematurely, but if you expect them to last forever, then anytime will seem premature.

For me, this flower show lasted about 2 months from the first sign of flower stalk to the last bloom fading and stalk collapse. Great show, my jewel orchid!
