Why I mulch Vertical Planters for Strawberry Towers #wintergardening #verticalgardening

I was finally able to mulch my @greenstalkgarden vertical planters for my strawberries. I bought another one to maximize my space and to create a shorter tower. I prefer being a little taller than my planters. 😂

I haven’t fully decided where to put these planters for the longer term but for now, this is a good spot. I’ve been trying to figure out where the plants could have good access to sunlight.

The strawberry plants are beginning to look dormant now so I also started cleaning and thinking of preparing the plants for success for the next growing season. One of the ways I do that is by getting rid of the dry leaves and mulching the pockets of each planter. It helps regulate temperature and moisture and also to protect the soil and the crown of the strawberries.

I’m finally done mulching my vertical Planters this should help to regulate temperatures to retain moisture and to protect the soil and my strawberry plants during the winter
