Ones of the easiest vegetables that beginner gardeners can grow are peppers. They are easy to grow and do well in containers. The great thing about growing peppers is that they are easy to overwinter, especially when you grow peppers in containers. LOL My peppers have no interest in growing fruit. I have different kinds and I don't over water. However, they are my only vegetable plants not overwhelmed by pests. Leaf Miner, for starters.
