Today we’re going to pick some of our  kale. It’s nice and cool in the mornings,   and that’s when you should pick it when it’s  nice and cool because it’ll be crispier. You   want to pick the bottom leaves off of your plants.  Any leafy greens that you pick, especially kale,  

Because if you don’t, it will bolt, which means  the stock comes up and it starts producing seeds   and that stops producing the leaves that you  harvest. So we’ll pick some of those today.   And we’ll do one or two per plant. And  almost all leafy greens work the same way,  

Where you harvest from the bottom up as they grow  and they. Get bigger and it’s just a delicious,   wonderful crop. So again, pick it in  the morning and pick from the bottom.
