Last night was a historic moment in rock and roll there are not a lot of times you can definitively say that but in this instance it is true with kiss playing their final show at Madison Square Garden after a historic career dating back to 1973 when the band was founded of course
They have sold over 100 million albums worldwide they set the standard early on for what a fan base should be what many bands wish their fan base would be the KISS Army one of the most loyal and dedicated audiences that there have ever been in music of course kiss influenced
Many most of our favorite bands bands like panta were wildly inspired by KISS bands like ghost were also very much inspired by KISS they’ve said so vocally but kiss also immediately after their performance made a huge announcement on the future of the band and it is honestly pretty shocking and we’re going
To get to that in just a bit but first I want to go through many of the amazing tributes that have poured in from rock stars around the world to give you an idea of just how much this band meant to so many people here’s one from Matt
Cameron drummer of Pearl Jam Sound Garden in Third Secret he wrote big night for my childhood Heroes kiss rocking Madison Square Garden for the last question mark time rock on kiss and thanks for the incredible memories notice that question mark here’s Zach Meers guitarist of shine down in 2013 we
Were invited by KISS to be a part of their Canadian tour I can’t think of many bands and Crews that we’ve been treated better by Paul Stanley would watch our set almost nightly and as one of the sweetest people on Earth as a joke Doc mgee would have me jump in the
Meet and greet photo last every single show to the point where I certainly felt it annoyed Jean Simmons the first week of the tour I asked Jean if I could buy one of his gold axe bases that he played on stage hoping for a discount at the
End of the tour he walked up to me and handed me a blood covered axe base that he had just played that night as a gift then at the meet and greet Paul gave all four of us one of his guitars signed by the band not only that we were starting
A tour 5 days after this and we had very long travel days home Paul called me the morning of the last show and invited us to fly on their plane back to the US that’s what kind of people that they are when I said when I was a kid I liked
Kiss but not until I was older did I get kiss and now I do so Paul Jean Tommy and Eric and Ace and Peter and all past KISS members thank you for making rock and roll not boring and thanks for the years we love you I love you the end Mike
Pornoy drummer of Dream Theater shared we wanted the best we got the best as tonight at Madison Square Garden in NYC where I saw them live for the first time in December 1977 that is very impressive Mike marks kiss’s very final show ever apparently this calls for an allinclusive special
MP photo of the day kiss goodbye Edition paying tribute to one of my favorite bands of all time as you’ll see here swipe I have picks Through The Years with eight out of the 10 official members only missing Mark St John rest in peace and Vinnie Vincent thank you to
All the members past and present for 50 years of Music obviously here Mike pornoy rolls deep with kiss all these cool photos over the years what a legend he is as as well Ray lzir drummer of corn these guys are the main reason I started playing drums they were
Superheroes to me growing up tonight is their last show question mark at the Garden it is honestly hilarious that all these people that are not connected to each other are questioning this uh at the Garden I just want to say a huge thank you for the many decades of rock
And entertainment you’ve given us all and he’s got a number of pictures with kiss who doesn’t love kiss this just gives you an idea of how many people that they’ve inspired man I thought this was a really cool one from John 5 this is a very
Unique photo you’re going to see here in just a moment he said I have had the most magical 38 hours I’ve had in a very long time my wife completely surprised me on Friday and said you better get dressed you’re going to New York your
Uber is coming in 45 minutes she got me a plane ticket a hotel and surprises me with going to The Last Kiss show on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden it was a magical moment congratulations to kiss for their incredible 50-year career it was emotional it was exciting
Something I will never forget thank you kiss and thank you to Robert long Ashley Andy Scott everybody on the kiss road crew for making it an incredible night I do want to add I talked to Jean after the show and this picture was taken right before he walked into the dressing
Room to start to take his makeup off so this could be the last picture that was taken with his makeup on pretty incredible night and that is is honestly a historical photo if that is true and if this is kiss’s final show there are a lot of tributes I’m not going to go
Through them all I don’t have time to but I got to tell you if this is kiss’s final show and I think it possibly could be despite the fact that they made this very bizarre announcement that I’m going to get to in just a moment they have had an amazing career
Whether or not ace and Peter got to perform which they did not they’ve had an incredible career they are Legend they are icons 50 years in the game inspiring so many people no matter what anybody says at the end of the day about kiss no matter what any sort of
Disagreements people have with kiss you cannot take anything away from this band and what they have been able to accomplish and what they have accomplished will stand the test of time and it already has 50 years in the game absolutely iconic now as you saw from the various Rock legends that we
Showing they all have hesitation about whether or not kiss is going to keep performing in the future and that is for good reason and I got to tell you I was already a little bit cynical about whether or not kiss was going to retire and I I was honestly as cynical as I
Have been I was truly shocked and appalled when kiss put a countdown on their website which says this I’m going to put it up on the screen it says the end is only the beginning do not miss out they launched this countdown timer for an announcement that would go
Up after their final show this was like what people in the comments and if you left this comment and I know a number of you did they’re going to announce some sort of maybe a new version of The Band Whatever at the end of the show shout
Out to you cuz uh that was I I assume you were joking but as you can tell now that was not a joke oh my goodness I I mean they they will go to they will stop at nothing to monetize their brand I I respect it I do
You’ve got to respect just how honestly Shameless kiss can be when it comes to promoting uh their brand their intellectual property whatever you want to call it but uh we know for a fact now that kiss is going to carry on into the future they released this bizarre and
Sort of dystopian video so here it is and I’m not going to play any of this sound but I’m going to walk you through it you’re not really missing anything it’s just kind of like Movie music this is the announcement so they’re doing motion capture and they’ve been immortalized
Apparently because they have done motion capture by the way reborn as avatars to rock forever geez guys geez a new era begins we’re cartoons now be part of the new era only on Kiss online I got I got to tell you folks they’re coming with the AI music they’re
Coming with the 3D avatars and uh you have a choice to make you can either support this kind of stuff and embrace it or you can go against it and and stand up for live music I don’t think I’m ever going to go for this kind of
Stuff this isn’t appealing to me if you want to release a kiss video game or something I’ll play a kiss video game but they’re acting like it’s a new era the new era reborn we’re going to be 3D avatars I don’t like it I’m not saying 3
Is not going to catch on but this kind of stuff where it’s like we’re not going to do live music anymore we’re going to I mean maybe there will be a market for that at some point but it’s never going to be with me and I hope it won’t be
With you because um I think live music brings us together and I think we should always push to have in-person Live Events and none of this sitting at home with your [ __ ] headset on watching kiss from emotion capture I don’t like it at all let me know what you think
About this in the com comments cuz I don’t like this at all

I think kiss has great idea.. and the host of this channel is probably narrow minded, jealous or both??
Wow what are they doing. Kiss animation. Or A.I./ robot Kiss, or maybe V.R. KISS where it propells you to Kiss live in 3029.
Kiss will always live forever rock on
Yeah, this will flop big time. I love Kiss like everyone else, but this was a really bad idea.
I think its fun. If they do this right, why not?? I'm not interested in a computer creating new KISS songs from samples of older KISS songs, but for multi-media stuff, games, t.v. shows, maybe movies, why not? Let's have fun with it. Remember, they're not the first to do this. They have been plenty of concerts with holograms of artists that have passed on, and ABBA did a complete tour with this and sold well to good reviews. Stop clutching your pearls and let's just wait and see HOW they do this ya?
The avatars are only interesting to see where they take it. It's highly unlikely that I pay for anything involving the avatars
Only a fool would believe this is their last show. Something will happen.
My huge problem with KISS being a virtual band is that the likenesses of the Spaceman and the Catman ARE NOT that of Peter and Ace but Tommy and Eric instead.
What KISS has become over the last 20 or so years is NOTHING more than a pathetically laughable cover band. From taped vocals that were exposed nightly. To 2 imposters using Ace and Peter's make up.
They have become a laughing stock of the iconic band they once were.
I’m done with kiss about 23 years ago!
What about KISS toilet paper? They'll still sell KISS toilet paper, right? 🥺
KISS sucks. The Dead is the standard of fan base. Money grab. Shameless.
THE BEST❤
I'd be okay with the virtual thing (sort) of if the shows were cheap and if it had virtual images of Peter and Ace playing. ONLY them for the make-up period.
I have been a KISS fan since the late 70's. I don't like this idea. I'd rather see them just turn it over to real replacements . Technology is great and this could be fun, but just for a minute. I like real, LIVE music.
Saw KISS the first time at the LA Forum after my father surprised me with the news that he bought the tickets. "Yeah, thanks man. That's only 15 hours away with less than 2 months to plan." Regardless, I made it and, unfortunately, caught a cold on the way there and was exhausted from making the drive. First show was a pretty memorable experience for all the wrong reasons. Their performance was awesome, but my experience was bad. So I said f**k that, I want a KISS show that I will remember fondly. Went to their Albuquerque show that same year and it was a much better experience. Drove away from Albuquerque with a melancholy attitude afterward because I knew that it would truly be the last time that I would ever see those legends and an experience of that caliber ever.
If the music that AI is going to make, it's better than the band that it pretends to be. Isn't that the destruction of the whole art form of music when the AI has completely taken over and it's all mechanicand musicians won't be able to compete with it. And how far are we going?
To go with that when it comes to all humanity. Are we just gonna keep on saying it's cool technology until that annihilates the entire earth
you will never (or at least so far) be able to adequately simulate those massive explosions, fire bolts, confetti rains etc. etc. in virtual reality – and exactly those are a part of the kiss dna and make kiss different from other bands (admittedly, these days lots of band do stuff alike). kiss shows are something you feel on and under your skin.
i have seen abba voyage in london this year. it works for abba, but i don’t have the impression i have see them live. what i have witnessed is a well-done movie on a massive high-res screen, with real musicians playing in sync to it. the illusion was 99% perfect.
i doubt the kiss audience is large enough to get them making a pilgrimage somewhere to see something alike and make it a long-running commercial success. (but i am open to be proven wrong. maybe kiss come up with something even more advanced than abba has done.)
just a comic book band
Wow! Seeing the photos is wild because the band look like giants next to the fans. I remember when they were being called devil worshippers and the name stood for Knights in Satan’s Service. That’s back when metal was the boogeyman and Ozzy was biting heads off bats. Good times.
What’s next charging a $100.00 bucks or more a ticket for this nonsense? It’s already way too expensive to go see them sing along to backing tracks.
I don’t embrace the change but as they say “that’s entertainment folks.”
The kiss hologram experience LOL
I've been saying that something like could happen for several years. Ever since streaming became a thing. AI 3D avatars are where entertainment is going, and im not all that big on it.
When I think of Kiss I think of being a kid in the 70s looking at the album covers and cool halloween stuff at Kmart. Hard to believe people still like them.
Never relevant, poster boys for developmentally arrested adult men. I loved KISS when I was 12 years old but then heard real
rock and grew up.
Kiss is the only band I know that rides on their own coattails but wherever there's money to be made you'll find gene and paul.
Gene the marketing madman
Watch the video for Psycho Circus and that's how cool it will look in ten years lol
dang never really got a chance to really see kiss live though, now they gonna be VR..kinda sad if you ask me..😢
Just retire with all the money you guys made off of me already!! It was fun!!!
STOP NOW!!
l do personally prefer LIVE MUSIC AND LIVE ON STAGE PYROTECHNICS 💥🗯💥😉 FOREVER!!! LOVE YOU KISS 💋 FOREVER!!!😘❤️💜❤️💜💥🗯💥🗯
Im just turned 70 been a fan since seeing a piece in a music paper in 1976 I've seen them several times and to be honest when I saw the AI presentation I thought it looked great. I know what people are saying about live music but here in the UK ABBA have been doing there voyage AI show for a fair time now and it gets rave reviews from the people who have seen it. So ill have no problem giving AI kiss a go and make a definitive decision about it then.
I’m not paying concet ticked prices to see CGI cartoons play to a pre-recorded live track …….if it was a movie (like the wall ) that would be one thing
KISS had a great video game 20 years ago, Psycho Circus. The game is far better than the LP.
🥱
It's unfortunate that Ace and Peter could play in this 'last' ? performance.
I'm sorry, but LIVE or NOTHING….PERIOD
I was interested in KISS for a while. I watched Family Jewels with Gene Simmons. So now they're moving into the computer-generated AI realm. They probably will not be alone. I'm not sure how this will all pan out. We shall see.
The best words I can come up with for this having just recently discovered it are wow, at this point kiss isn't even their own tribute band.
I mean at this point you might as well just pull up footage of a live show on youtube or listen to a live one and two again.
Kiss is a big joke.
not finished
First seen kiss in 79 I was 10 seen many times since, several were farewell tours lol
Kiss's last show was when they no longer had the original 4 members.
As for their greed, The Beatles never stooped to that nor did Zeppelin, they simply did the right thing and retired their bands, instead of going on without the original lineup.
My 1st concert was KISS, I was 13 years old. I have been to just over 200 live shows in my life. Us old timers love LIVE, ……But kids of today are into AI. And they now can go back in time and see every great show, plus new songs that groups cant do live anymore. I think its safe to say Rock will never die and this is just the evolution of Rock. I hope for great things with this new AI. ……We will see, like it or not !
