Sorry Luke, but ive been propagating rosemary for over a year with something much simpler. I strip the leaves, put it in a jar filled with tap water and place on a window so it gets sun. Every single stem has developed roots and been potted. All are growing well.
Hey Luke, where can I find those rock wool grow blocks? What is your thoughts on those over using say, homemade soil balls/blocks? I’m going to be starting some veggies soon for spring/summer. Just curious what might help sprouting and growth.
CAUTION: A source of rock wool was found to have asbestos in it. It was used for house insulation for many years . I don't know if the blocks have any. I just thought it might be worth noting since it can be inhaled when cut or removed from the package, handled, etc. However, the video is Uber good for producing more food and spices. Thank you!
I live in the PNW. I just put a cutting straight into the soil where I want my plant to grow in late October early November, once the rainy season has arrived. Zero effort, mother nature does everything for me. I have rosemary everywhere (lavender too). I know this won’t work in all areas, but it works for me a cheap lazy PNW gardener.😁

Increase your chances with a heat mat underneath. It’s a race against the cutting transpiring and drying out vs growing roots. Well done!
What is that cube?
Oh yeah, let me know where I can pick up all that equipment for free. Rooting hormones for example.
What are your thoughts, Luke, on using potting compost in place of the rockwool?

Make sure not to place it direct sunlight while it's rooting (indirect sunlight only)

Would this work for clematis vines?
Thanks!! I'll try it. I have a Rosemary plant that I've had for 10 years. Or more. I would love to have a few more. It's looking a bit old.
