Hydrangea Tips for Winter Ultimate Guide & Unique Gardening Gift Idea | Kelly Lehman – is a special video I made for our Flower Tribe.

I wanted to show you a few quick tips on winterizing your hydrangeas and also tell you about a great gift idea for the gardeners in your life .

The covering tip is for your hydrangeas that come in on old wood like your mopheads (endless summer , nikko etc). There is no need to wrap your panicles and smooth hydrangeas like your Limelight hydrangeas,  Incrediball hydrangeas , and Annabelle hydrangeas since their flowers come in on new growth in spring  and do not need winter protection .

I was so happy to have my Dad in this video ( he’s the good looking fella in the purple sweater . ) He was helping me make some of my winter hydrangea care videos and was happy to have me use some of Nature’s Willow Balm pain cream on his sore hands and back after we were done in the garden .
