Hi all,
I’m in zone 6b, I had this cute window box up all year and before the first frost I slapped these ikea “terrarium” things on it to keep the surviving plants safe. I’m about to insulate it with bubble wrap.
I don’t know what I’m doing at all. Is this the worst idea ever? Any suggestions for how to keep the plants alive? I am assuming bubble wrap wont be enough correct? Would putting a mat heater like for a terrarium down in the soil help at all? Should I insulate the wood box itself as well? Help? Helllpppp. Ty 🙂

Depending on how cold it gets where you are I’d think the heat from your window may be all you need if you’re able to limit any gaps. The gaps look fairly substantial though. Maybe some insulated tape? Possibly some styrofoam cut to size if you have any from packages around Christmas?
That depends entirely on whether or not it’s outdoors and what your climate is
