1:31 – 1:36 OK, not to be a smartass or anything, but whether you're joking or not, you DO not that power outage in a carnival (Carnival Night Act 2) and scary themed carnival are NOT the same meaning. Plus, c'mon, you could have used Sky Park Act 2 from Sonic Rivals and NOBODY would've argued with you.
Not gonna lie this game made me question whether I just didn’t like 2D games before remembering Sonic 2,3K and Mania exist. This game felt like such a chore to beat and I just didn’t enjoy the experience of the game personally.

I got the game half price for Black Friday on ps5. And at that price point I had a fun time, outside the tedious Death Egg fight. Thankfully I didn’t encounter too many bugs

Seriously though, Sonic Team needs to just stop. The one good Sonic game that's come out in almost a decade wasn't even made by Sonic Team, and every game with their logo is passable at best and eye-gouging puke-inducing horrible at worst. Please just go back to Sonic Advance or maybe just stop making games in general Sonic Team.

I only encountered one bug playing this (got crushed when a floor was opening because I was against a wall that sloped outward. So… That was dumb as hell). As for level inspiration… Well, yeah, Sonic's been around long enough that themes will be repeated. Oh wow
It's an overall ok Sonic game. Not as good as Mania, definitely not worthy of costing more than Mania, but it's ok
Leading up to the game's launch, I was excited, if only to see Fang return in a mainline Sonic game after god knows how long.
Once I finally got my hands on the game, it all became clear to me. Sonic Superstars exists purely to prop up Super Mario Bros. Wonder. This game is Mario Wonder's deadbeat, unwashed, manchild friend. Mario Wonder is embarrassed to ever be associated with this piece of shit in public, wishing he'd just shut up and stay in his lane, yet he doesn't realise just how good he looks against him, and how much empathy he's garnered due to the comparisons to the "friend" who's latching onto him like a social parasite.
Sonic Superstars did this to himself, by the way. He only has himself to blame. He made his bed, now he's laying in it, and he's trying to drag his well-meaning, harder-working, more successful friend down with him. Well, we all saw the sales, at the end of it all. Mario was a top-seller on just one exclusive platform, and still outsold Deadbeat Shitterstars with all its sales across multiple platforms combined.
And in the wake of heroine needles littered across the floor in Sonic's house, plenty of other speedy platformers are stepping up to the plate, like Spark The Electric Jester, Freedom Planet, Super Sami Roll and Toree 3D, and providing what Sonic can't anymore.
In Sonic Adventure/SADX, Chaos would drastically change form whenever it absorbed Chaos Emeralds
Meaning, Trip's the second one to have a different appearance in her super form
What makes this game even more annoying is that literally its SELLING POINT, the emerald powers, doesn’t actually need to be used at ALL at any point in the ENTIRE game.
You could just literally go through every level without using a single emerald power ONCE in the entirety of the game.
If they really want to make the game’s friggin feature that makes the game sell well, at least make the level design compensate for those emerald powers as you unlock them. >X(

I have no issue with people disliking the game that's absolutely fine and not hate to people who dislike it but I find it strange that you used a clickbaity thumbnail thats straight up lying to people and using an intro that also lies to people lol so I don't get why you are lying to people, like unless you got incredibly unlucky somehow then almost everyone I know who who's played the game has said bugs like these do occasionally occur and obviously thats Arzest fault but they happen very rarely so it's kind of dumb to trick people with an intro like that to think the game is unplayable hot mess, I have played a game and ton and while I certainly have experienced the bugs you have, they don't happen that often and I've talked to a ton of people have played the game as well who are not dickriders to sonic games and they said the same thing as me the game is objectively not a mess as your clickbaity thumbnail says. Ill respect your opinion on the game but please don't lie to people and please don't use such clickbaity thumbnails in future and I hope you have a great day!
