  1. Hi Linda, looks beautiful as usual. On your window candles did you get the amber flame and do they look orange? Let me know please. Thank you.

  2. It does look beautiful but I have to agree with another comment and that is your glass table top looks so much more welcoming as opposed to this wooden top.

  3. Thank you for sharing Linda, can't believe its December already. Sending ❤ from Rosie O from a cold 1 degree Devon, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

  4. I can't wait to see the tour finished and completely illuminated. You've really done so much in such a short period of time! While I love those chairs around the firepit, I must weigh in with my 2 cents about the tabletop: is that the final color? I think it fights a bit with the chairs and don't think it needs to be the same color as the sideboard table. What about Vater gray? I have a glass table on my sunporch, so I know how the glass shows every little thing, so I understand from a practical standpoint why you wanted to change it 🤶

  5. Linda, are your old-fashioned Christmas lights on your tree outback? Are they shatterproof? That’s what I’m looking for? I didn’t see your Christmas lights listed under your list.

  6. Love the new table top; I like the glass, too, but the more substantial top adds depth and richness this time of year! Everything looks great!

  7. Awww, you said “Father Christmas”! You’ve made this Brit very happy 👌🏻🧡💚👏🏼🎅🎅🎅

  8. Linda, may I suggest before you have your tour that you remove your front patio umbrella and cushions into your garage or shed for the winter.

  9. Merry Christmas, Linda. Thank you for sharing. I have learned quite a bit from you and I so appreciate your home and all of your expertise. I know you get comments on this channel such as why don't youdo this etc. I try to refrain, however I believe you should have your awesome backyard Christmas tree in your wo nderful great/family room and use your outdoor buffet table for a centerpiece of greens and firepit snacks to reinforce the idea of what that table was purchased to be used as. Also, I think your gate to the backyard needs a wreath along with the bench along the east walkway (which I so enjoy) needs some Christmas adornment. Thank you for the Christmas house tour, from central Nebraska.

  10. Throwing in my two cents: I think the wood table top would blend in better if stained a pale grey. Other than that everything looks great!

  11. I don’t mean to be unkind, but I really prefer the glass-top on the table. I feel the brown color isn’t in line with the color scheme. Maybe painting it the Vater Gray would blend in. Just a thought🤷🏻‍♀️
Love the chairs placed around the fire pit!

  12. I too did love the glass top on the table, but for it's reflective quality, kind of like water would reflecting the sky!

  13. I don’t like the color of the table tops, gray stain would look much better in my opinion. Also the rain barrel still looks like a sore thumb where it is. Love everything else ❤

  14. All you provide in inspiration throughout the year is so appreciated! The final cottage holiday decor will be beautiful, and most important, very meaningful to you and your adorable family. The Mesta Park community must be so very pleased to have you as such a fabulous addition to the neighborhood! Take some time for yourself during this incredibly busy season! Best to Stewart and Leah, as well.

  15. WOW. Your garden bushes and outside tour in general looks amazing. Thank you for sharing your this relaxing stroll this holiday season.

  16. The tabletop is beautiful and will be a focal point of the outdoor ‘drawing room’. I like the wicker chairs around the fire pit, they look cozy and welcoming and they’ll have the warm throws on them, will look so good. One of the other favorite elements is the outdoor Christmas tree that you can see from the inside great room. Think of the birds that will perch there. Lovely and the red bows, wreaths and garlands look very grand. Can’t wait to see the tour of inside and out.

  17. Get some poinsettias to set on the pots they come in wonderful colors and could blend with the purple and yellow flowers if done right also maybe a few in front just to set maybe in baskets. You would be happier with curb appeal for the few days…. Maybe even rent them. A few in back would look nice too. Or maybe red antherium and you could bring them in…..

  18. Merry Christmas, Linda! Everything is looking lovely and coming together nicely! Thank you for sharing the holiday preparations with us. What you accomplish in a small window of time is mind-boggling! Thanksgiving hosting, meal prep, cleaning the house again and a Christmas home tour in less than a week!❤ Love you and your sweet team!

  19. So glad I found you! I don’t think we’re from the same family tree but looking forward to bing watching your videos! I’m in zone 7b in North Carolina

  20. I like your new table top and it is a great match to your side table. Very nice contrast to the LV grey on the house and surrounding elements. Enjoy Saturday and I hope you get a chance to put your feet up at the end of the day and celebrate with a🥃.

  21. take your pots that are planted( WITH THE SOIL SHOWING) and add branches of holly, evergreens and nandina berries, to hide the soil. it adds an element of lush greenery, draping over the sides of the planted pots… this can be done with the pots already planted with tulips, thus creating a lush image with out harming the bulbs.. the greenery last all through the season.. plus it is cost effective… grab your shears and find lots of greenery happy tour…

  22. Glass tops can be sand blasted on the underneath side so they appear opaque (grayed ,frosted). I did that with a patio glass tabletop. You don’t notice dust, wet pot rings, etc. It solves the problem that you have with clear glass. They use that technique to add privacy to bathroom windows.

  23. Linda Dorough Dixon/Mountain Park, Georgia/I can't figure out for the life of me why you had the wooden top made for your glass table.. I agree with the viewer who said it was pretty to see the brick patio through the glass.. I don't see anything else in the garden the color of the tabletop ..You had mentioned painting the glass the color of the Cottage trim color.. That I thought might be nice…If you want protection for the glass table then paint the wooden piece the Cottage trim color…Why do I see a bright colored yellow pot and the bright plastic tub….This is not like you to leave that stuff out…
You have really done a great job.. I guess we just want everything perfect for the Cottage…
